Delicious food. After an exam, headed here just to unwind. Great food, and great service!

Been here 2 times. We live in NJ and always looking for Uruguayan food. My wife is from Uruguay and whenever we get a chance to eat authentic food we will go. Good food and service. Will be going back.

This is one of those little places that manages to have a perfect decor, drinks and food! You can not go wrong here. Everything is seasoned to perfection, presented beautifully and beyond enjoyable to eat. I had their red sangria and not only was it refreshing but, it was the best sangria I have had in this city in ages! If you haven't been to Charrua Bistro yet, do yourself a favor and go ASAP. You won't be disappointed! I mean check out the photos! Yum!

Excellent service. Tables. Willing to host diners. Food very good. Fresh. Full of flavour. Not too large portions, either — so nice. Prices reasonable for what you get.Good ambience.

This is a great place to have a good dinner. Wine os okay, but the steaks are great. Friendly staff and good vibe. Be sure to check prices before going there. There is an online menu if you google them. It is worth the price anyway.

We stopped by Charrua last night on a rainy evening and it was the perfect restaurant to make a dreary night better- a hidden gem in the East Village! We loved the intimate and lovely atmosphere, helpful service/staff, and the food! Ordered the Picada Charrua sampler platter and would really recommend this dish because we got to try a little bit of all the meats(chorizo, chicken cutlet, skirt steak ) as well as the corn and beef empanadas! Each part of the platter was really delicious. What made this meal even better is that the platter was paired with a yummy creamy pasta. We loved the linguine a la Caruso which had ham, mushroom, cream & plenty of Parmesan cheese. To top it off we got to try Uruguayan wines with our meal. Our first time trying Uruguayan food and we were really impressed by our meal! Cant wait to come Back here to try more of the menu items

This was truly a happy accident. My wife and I just happened in and within minutes the place came alive. The food was good. The music was exhilarating. It was the patrons, though, that made this magical. Go on a Tuesday night!
