Charlies Place Restaurant & Lounge

Just like a Hollywood movie set of an authentic Charlies Restaurant. Chinese restaurants were the staple of America. Half the Chinese population from a specific region in China immigrated due to political unrest and famine. Charlies Place has original Chinese American Food we only hear of these days in old movies like familar sweet n sours and egg rolls. They also have stir fry dishes with meat and veggies as well as yummy noodles. My fav go to for Chinese Food when we go to our cottage.

Always stop here when I can. Great little restaurant

Ate here two years ago so the review is a bit late but overall we were very impressed when we ate here. Found the food was very fresh and we all agreed at the time that it was some of the best Chinese food restaurants we have eaten at in Nova Scotia. We hope to go back soon and will update my review when we do.

That was the worst food ever its microwaved and nasty I wouldn't pay for that ever and they said they can't make stuff on the menu cuz they were to busy and there's only 10 people in the restaurant maybe

I'd say it's the best ....of a bad bunch...I've now tried 3 Chinese restaurants 2 in digby and this one in Annapolis.....this one served the most authentic food out of the 3. But for what you get it is quite expensive...I had the Cantonese chow mein 14.95 plus tax....was tasty and looked a large portion at first....then realized it was a lot of thread noodles and veg and hardly any meat shrimp etc.....the picture showed more than was served....I also tried an egg roll...2 dollars for the one....it was very small and filled with some kind of paste and veg ...no bamboo shoots and fresh ingredients as I am used to.... certainly NOT good value or taste....I am so sad that the quality of the Chinese food is so very low.. and I just can't understand how there can be such a difference in taste meal size and value from other good Chinese restaurants I have been to.....maybe it is what they call Canadian Chinese .. but it certainly isn't good Chinese..... .

Very honest and friendly service.CleanRestrooms.The fast food was fresh.The portion for the price we payed was ok.Higher quality food was available too. Next time we'll try the better stuff.I recommend this restaurant.

Had a good buffet after a round of Golf. The food in the buffet was good and for $15 all you can eat.

Worst food ever, had three piece fish n chips, made me very sick, fish was very dry and hard and crunchy. The portions was very small for all the meals that our family had, when you pay for a meal your family should be full, instead asking to go to MacDonalds. Never eat there again!!!

Great food, fast service, huge value for money, friendly staff, hot food, nice environment, the list goes on. Totally recommend this place to anyone nearby who needs a good meal.
