Excellent service, well timed presentation of each dish. Many unique entrees I've never seen anywhere before. Warm and casual atmosphere.

We have been hearing that we needed to try Chapman's and tonight we finally had the chance. Lives up to the hype: cozy, comfortable atmosphere with exceptional, interesting dishes. We loved our meal here.

One of my top 10 in columbus. Menu changes pretty frequently, always solid dishes. Love their fries with caviar and cauliflower. Solid cocktails too.

It was not worth the hype, in my opinion. The cauliflower app and drinks were good but I can’t see myself going back. Ask your server how they prepare the French Fries. You will get an explanation that requires a PhD in chemistry to understand it. If that’s your thing then you will probably love this place!

I can wholeheartedly say that Chapman's is one of the best tasting dinners and all around dinning experiences I have had in my 26 years in Columbus. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable. Our server Collin was great! The cauliflower bites, crispy chicken and budino absolutely stole the show and are must haves. The cauliflower is the attached photo.

One of my favorite restaurants in Columbus! My wife and I took part in their tasting menu. Every dish was excellent and we left full of great food! The service staff was attentive, kind, and welcoming. Couldn't ask for a better experience! Glad we have some place like this in the city!

Came in and sat at the bar for some drinks. Great atmosphere. Great conversation. Friendly staff. Super clean restrooms. Menu looks different than anything else around town. Will be back to try the food in the future.

My wife and I had the opportunity to dine at Chapman's and it was good. I love what they did with the interior. Very cozy and inviting. The food was good but the portions are more like tapas instead of entrées. I don't expect large portions but for the money, I certainly expected a bit more. I had the lamb shoulder and I can't be sure that I had any more than 2 small bites of lamb on my plate. Even the dessert portions were very small and they don't serve coffee. It's good but just not great.

Quite the transformation from the former Max and Erma's location. I've had my eye on this place since it made the Dispatch saying it was a top rated restaurant in the New York Times. We managed to snag late dinner reservations for four on a Friday for my mom's 65th birthday. Service: Warm, unpretentious staff. From the host to the servers to the chef. All very professional and friendly. I appreciated the reccomendations for appetizers and sides to accommodate the size of our table. The prime rib special that arrived at our table was overcooked and the server and chef were quick to rectify. They also were very accommodating in splitting the bill between our table. Beverage: Cocktails were excellent. High quality and expertly crafted with nice attention to detail. Reccomend the el Diablo. No coffee service though. Boylan sodas are offered. Appetizers: Limited menu. Fish dip lacked flavor. Roe was nice textural addition. But was portioned best for two people. We ordered the fries for appetizer. Envision thin fresh cut fries on the well done side. Served hot and crispy. Great suggestion from server. Don't sleep on the ranch. So good. Entrees: Refreshing to see a novel menu that wasn't the same beef, pork, chicken, fish options. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, potatoes bravas, catfish and prime rib special. Spaghetti and Potatoes braves and flank steak were average. Sauces weren't as flavorful as they could have been. Meatballs didn't seem like anything special. Flank steak was nicely cooked medium rare but was inevitably chewy in parts and lacked flavor too. Prime rib was ordered medium rare, served well done. It was the last piece so we ordered the squash instead, which arrived at the table cold. But the squash had a great roasted and nutty flavor. They ended up comping the entree, which was nice but we came there for good food, not free food. Catfish was the best option. Moist, tender meat. Good crunch on the tempura. The papaya salad had some heat but overall lacked flavor as did the rice. The carrots and the cucumber sides were the most flavorful items we had. Would reccomend both. Dessert: They were out of the carrot cake otherwise we would have ordered that. They gave us the budino. It was better than I anticipated. Creamy, crunchy, salty ending to our meal. Overall, I wanted to love this place but I don't think it lived up to the hype. I wouldn't reccomend the current menu to others but will keep an eye on it in the future. It has glimmers of promise. Note: You will need to enter credit card information to reserve a table online, which will be charged $25 a person if you cancel within 2 hours of the reservation.

Possibly the best service we had had in Columbus. The food is also delicious and not overpriced. Every course was just fantastic. To top it off the interior is aesthetically beautiful!

This place is the best place in town for Date Night... candle light dinner . Most of the menu isn't real heavy like slow you down type of food . Great atmosphere. Better call ahead and make reservations

I have been waiting a while to get in here. Reservations are hard to get but worth the wait. Everything we had was delicious. My favorite was the chicken and shrimp khao soi mai. So many wonderful flavors in that dish. I could eat that every day. I can’t wait to come back here and try other dishes. Must try!!!

Absolutely everything was delicious… the cauliflower is an absolute MUST - I could have drunk that sauce with a straw. Brussels sprouts and fries also amazing. Lamb shoulder melted in your mouth…. Also don’t skip dessert! ♥️

Outstanding food at great prices. Describing to someone who has not been, I would say Northstar quality with more unique flavor profiles at similar prices. Wonderful addition to German Village. Takeout holds up on travel. The homemade creams are killer good and very unique flavors such as key lime Yuzu crunch, sweet potato casserole. New pork lettuce wraps are great and would like to continue to see addition and rotations to menu. Wonderful addition to the columbus food scene. Wishing this restaurant much success and very happy to have you here! Reminds us of Philly food scene. Columbus needs more of this.
