One of my fav low key casual Hangouts in Toronto. Fireplace, sausage and cheese beer dip, board games and chill atmosphere. Actually though this is a gem. Staff have always been wicked friendly. This isn't the high pressure table Turner of a restaurant, this is a nice relaxing spot. Also, the live music? Can't be beat.

Always a great experience. You come in and are pretty much treated like you're part of the family by their attentive and intuitive staff. Would highly recommend for a simple night out with friends or a date. Great selection of drinks in a constant rotation, although consistently great flavour selection.

This place is deceptively large as it's in the basement level; it has a stage for live music, pool tables, couches around a fireplace, two bars with stools around them, and plenty of tables. I haven't been on a Friday or Saturday night, so it could be different then, but it's mostly a calm, well-lit, sophisticated causal atmosphere. If there is a live band playing, it's in the separate half on the west side so you can choose to watch the band or just sit on the quieter side. They are famous for their rotating craft beer selection on tap! The kitchen is open late, and they have one or two vegan options on the menu if you omit the dairy from the vegetarian dishes. The menu does change occasionally though, so hopefully they'll add more vegan stuff soon!Service is always great, professional, and fast.

Went here midweek around 11pm to shoot a couple games of pool. It wasn’t busy so no problem getting a table. Tables and cues were decent, cost is reasonable and enough room around the table to shoot.I don’t know what kind of vodka they had but we ordered vodka soda and just couldn’t even drink it, it tasted like a bad whisky mixed with (insert gross item here). The staff was accommodating and replaced our drinks with something else. Nice spot.

Probably my favourite bar in Toronto. Great craft beer selection including many you cannot find in the liquor store. On my most recent visit to Toronto they were sold out of my favourite (stone city uncharted) but there was a lot of others to choose from. I love the club wrap, but I've tried a number of things on the menu and it's always good. The vibe is totally removed from the city - its warm and feels like home. Great place to grab a drink or for a date. There were couples around me playing cards and battleship.

Went here last night for a friend's party and had a great time. Food and drinks were excellent! The only issue I had was at the end of the night when I went to pay my tab. The woman who charged me handed me the debit machine with the price and tip already input. The customer is supposed to input the tip of their choice, not the merchant. I found this very sneaky and off-putting. I would hope that this is not a standard practice at this restaurant.

Very good place to go for a bite, one on one, or with a small group of friends. It has multiple themed areas to sit, whether next to the Pool table, or next to the Chimney, or on the bar, has a vibe for everyone. The food is good, and they also have good drinks, and beer. They also have some board games to play with... and affordable prices too.

Came here two different times during my trip to Toronto and it was one of my favorite bars that we went to. They have a great selection of beers to choose from and the environment is lively. The bar itself has a great look and feel to it. The chips and guacamole were quite good. Overall we had a great time when we were here. We will be sure to come back the next time we are in Toronto.

An excellent choice for a really nice selection of beers, the list isn't massive but there is a lot of choices. Food is great had a pulled pork poutine came out quickly and had great flavour. Was fairly busy for a Thursday night but the service was able to keep up no problem. Would definitely come again.

One of my favourite places to grab beer in the downtown core. They always have interesting craft brews and it's easy to order a bunch of samplers so you can try a bunch of things all at once. The staff are really knowledgeable and the atmosphere is super chill. Also, order the lamb burger — it's good.

Two words: Cask Ale. Those who love it, really love it. Got hooked on it overseas and it can be hard to find in Canada. The idea of over-chilled, over-carbonated beer disagrees with my stomach. Cask ale? It goes down so smooth with great nuance. More please! Lastly, the ambience at C'est What is always decent, food is decent, servers decent. Never had a bad experience.

Great little hidden gem just down from St. Lawrence market, C'est what manages to capture the real spirit of an honest to god, down to earth pub, without resorting to immitation or trying to become some garish charicature. The space is actually quite large, with a selection of traditional tables, high tops or even some benches by the fire. There are a great selection of local and imported beers available. The number of stouts and porters they have is particularly impressive in an IPA obsessed beer scene. For those so inclined, there are also a good selection of spirits both common and less often seen. While this is definitely the kind of pub you can sit at with a pint and a good book, those more socially inclined can chat while listening to live music or grab one of the board games available to help spur some conversation, and competition.Food is also good, with the usual pub faves to choose from and service is fast and friendly.
