have to try their fried food, but once I walk in and smell the boiled crawfish I can't help myself! Text me back to my childhood. Remember when castnet and dockside were the names and seafood. Now there's just castnet and they're still good as before.

The staff is always in a great mood, very friendly. If you don't know your way in town ask one of the employees they can point you to the best chill spots. We always stop by for the great prices on crawfish or some tasty 😋 po-boys. If you're headed to the parade order early pick up and just reheat your goodies in one of those chafing dish buffet for the kids later.

Casual place for takeaway seafood fare, including po’ boy sandwiches. Shared building with a few other restaurants, including Walker’s BBQ. Pricing is very reasonable. (February 2019)

This is my favorite seafood place. They always have fresh, well-priced seafood and professional service. They have a great system for taking orders even when there's a big crowd. Highly recommended.

The food is not as good as it used to be in the nineties. The prices have gone up, but the quality of the food has not. The shrimp are always rubbery, and the fish on the seafood plate is not Louisiana raised. For some reason, they are always packed. I pass them by.

Castnet Seafood is seriously underrated in my opinion. It’s a 30 minute drive for me, so I’m not able to get here as often as I’d like. But it’s a treat every time I visit. The shrimp poboy is the best in New Orleans, hands down! It’s full of perfectly fried, well seasoned shrimp. The poboy is so good that I always seem to forget that I have fries also lol. I like to arrive prior to 11am to ensure a parking spot, a seat and that I beat the crowd. While I mainly eat the shrimp, I have tasted the catfish and it’s delicious as well. The owner is very present and on every visit he has come over to ask how everything is. Give it a try...I cannot recommend this place enough!

Great customer service and the food (cooked and raw) is amazing...... But something gets lost in transition about half of the time i go in to get raw fish. I always ask and reiterate that my fish be cut a certain way (in 3 pieces, only in 3 pieces) I'll even show where i would like it cut, but i get my pieces cut as 2-3" steaks. Now, keep in mind that these are 15 -18 inch fish I'm talking about. Besides that they're all aces, just that one Damn 6 of clubs messing it up!
