Castaway Waterfront Restaurant & Sushi Bar

I came here in 2016 and it was excellent. I came again in 2018 and it was even better:We had caught fresh tuna the previous today and asked Jay and the sushi chef (Manuel) to prepare it. They pumped out masterpiece after masterpiece. Each plate was delicious and balanced out the others perfectly. We will be coming here every time we visit the keys.

Simply amazing. Would definitely recommend the snapper blackened. They cook the fish perfectly, and it is obvious it is fresh. Don’t let the outside fool you. Once you get it, it is an amazing experience of a restaurant. My family and I have been coming for years now, and it has remained amazing. The service is very very friendly, and the owner is always walking around making sure people are happy. If you want a restaurant with a good local feel, as well as some great food, this is the place to go in Marathon.

The most generous portions of nigiri and sashimi I've ever seen, bar none. Fresh food, fantastic service, extensive beer menu, and extremely decent prices for the quality of the food. Not a cheap dinner, but more than worth the money. One of if not the best meal I've ever had. Also the best key lime pie out of the five places I sampled down here! Castaway is special.
