It was dead, and none of the staff looked like they wanted to be there, which fair enough no one likes going to work but I've never been to an airport where I didn't see at least some of the staff with smiles on their faces. And the "shops" that airports generally have? They were LAME here. I didn't even feel excited to explore the airport after the first 30 minutes. I usually LOVE airports and I've been to several of them in quite a few countries and continents as I travel internationally a fair bit, but this is the first time I have been to an airport that I would be perfectly happy never seeing again.

I am actually amazed at the airport after moving away from the east coast and flying back to the airport. Over the years they have made some really good improvement!! The seats and tables of different heights available for travelers are just awesome. Transit to and from the city is much more convenient than what’s like from JFK and LGA. Port Authority customer services are also superb. Love Newark and this will be where I fly in to New York in the future.
