Casbah Restaurant

This place is very welcoming and has good food but me and my family were waiting for one hour for our food to finally be ready. I do not recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t like waiting a while.

Went as a couple and we both loved the food. The salad and appetizer (Bastelle?) were great. Had couscous and stew with lamb. The brownie dessert at the end was amazing.

Simply one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. From the incredible decor, to the sublime food to the knowledgeable and friendly owner. This restaurant couldnt be recommended more. Splendid!

The food was incredible, the atmosphere is enriched with culture and uniqueness. The wait for the food was anticipated as you cannot rush perfection. Will be coming back soon !

One of my TOP restaurant to go to. Was there once and now I'm ready to go back! The food, amazing. So fresh and filled with flavour. Not once was I unsatisfied with the combination of spices and ingredients. The atmosphere, like walking to a tent in Morocco. Beautifully draped and very romantic. This is the spot to impress your date. The waiter was the owner, and we were blown away with the passion and how articulate he was describing each dish. Was like I could taste it before the plate was ordered. What got me hooked was the tea. Changed my life. Never have I drank such a delicious cup of tea. Could be simple, but I have yet to recreate that first sip that blew me away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the city of Calgary. From the ambiance of the space, to the staff and the quality of the food make it an incredible experience. Highly recommend!!

This place was different and awesome all at the same time. The service was slow but you were so busy looking at the decor and taking in the feeling of being in a completely different place other then downtown calgary you don't really notice. We shared a tour dish where they give you a little taste of everything then topped it off with Moroccan tea. It is fantastic for intimate settings I wouldn't want a group bigger then 6 it isnt really set up for that. There are about 10 tables in total but the food was great.

The food was well made and seasoned, and the decor is unbelievable. My only qualm was the odd service. We were seated next to 4 other people in a fairly intimate nook, within touching distance of strangers who were rather boisterous for our evening, and so we couldn't really hear each other when speaking. The server was polite but didn't engage at all, whereas the table next to us was treated to great stories and charm. Very strange.

The food was amazing! Has a couscous dish that had raisins and pears. Will definitely be back!Really loved the decor too.

Excellent Morrocan food.The decor and vibe in this place is really cool.I got a four course meal which came with a bunch of choices.I'm not really a fan of chickpeas but they were cooked down really well so they didn't interfere with the texture of things.

Went with a group of friends here, had a fantastic time. The family that runs the business were so inviting and friendly, we felt like were were right at home. From the rose water hand wash to the decorations, every detail was perfect. The only thing that topped those were the food, outstanding flavors!!! The restaurant transports you to Morocco.

Was at the Casbah with a group of friends, the food was so full of flavor, the restaurant was probably one of the most beautiful restaurants I've been to in my life, and the service was right on the mark. Overall, had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend if you have a special event that you want to celebrate in a special place.
