I took my family to the MoMA and we were hungry when we left and it was a very busy weekend in the city. We saw the Barilla Restaurant and decided to give it a try even though it was busy. The line was long but once we put our order in the food came out very quickly and it was very good - clean as I would like to say. I happen to agree with one other reviewer. Some people were taking seats before they got their food and that isn't how the system works especially when they are very busy, however, I would definitely return again and it was very reasonably priced.

I'm writing this review 2 - 3 months after I ate there simply because the guy who works in the evening shifts is so nice that I had to mention him. His energy is unique, his smile is eternal and the service he provided us was memorable. I just referred a group of people to this place because of him. I forget his name but management knows exactly who exudes this endless magnetic pool of energy. Please give him kudos on my behalf.

Great Italian food at a reasonable price compared to all that is near there. Fast and efficient service, couldn't rate this place for some good simple food enough! A must go!

My first time here it's good but for 14.99 I think they should serve more on the plate. My husband ordered Shrimp alfredo and literally took 5 bite and it was over. please work on that. I love pasta. But the food was good!

My daughter loves this restaurant, every time we come for vacations to NYC we make sure we come to eat here. However this year they made some changes, not for the best. They don't have anyone assigning seats to people, means the place is always crowded and you must hustle for a seat, and you'll never guess that unless someone working at the place stops and tell you.Means also that you need to get a seat in order to eat at the place, not like that, seams disorganized. The servers are good, quick and treat you well, in all is a good place to eat a good pasta, but the idea of hunting seats and seen others waiting doing the same right besides your table adds extra stress for an event that suppose to be a pleasure, it makes you hesitate.Update :Since the first time we went to Casa Barilla we loved it, Casa Barilla is a place where my daughter and I definitely go, great people, good food, good vibrant ambient, a great place to eat, thanks for the response, and success !

The Rigatoni with Beyond Sausage was very good...except the pasta was more undercooked than I would like it. Nonetheless, the food and price is pretty good for the area. Just note that this place is kind of a hybrid between a restaurant and a food court setting.

tasty, quick pasta for the price. my pizza hit the spot! my baby even enjoyed it. nice atmosphere, modern. service was a little slow since they were busy however i was not disappointed once the food arrived. we had a long day in the city and this was perfect for a "quick" dinner. no fuss, but simple and tasty.

Food wasn't too bad. Service was friendly-ish but rather slow. Interesting concept to have Italian fast food.

Pasta centric fast food at a reasonable price. Variety of pasta types and sauce offerings. Meatballs and other sides available. We bought the pasta for 2 which is served family style. Our bow ties were perfectly cooked. The pomodoro sauce was bright. The dining area is clean and well designed. Staff was friendly and service was super quick. Pasta for 2 dish is $18.

This was a very great fine for something local to our hotel. Simple yet complete menu with good selection and great tasting food. Three desserts are worthwhile trying as is the cappuccino. The wine glasses offer a very generous pour of wine which increases the value for the dollar. We will definitely be back here again next time we're are in Manhattan.

Very nice place to eat right after MOMA. It is quite quick to order but it took a bit of time to be served as it looked like they were waiting for other people to order the same food to do everything only once. Food is nice though. It’s a good one

It was “meh†due to the dish I had ordered which was a pesto pasta. If you are bringing a small group of people for a reasonably priced dinner then this place would work. One of my current students is an employee with them and they have treated her very well. Kudos to them as an employer.

I honestly must must recommend this place. This is super affordable restaurant in the heart of New York city. You have to order by your own at the desk and they will bring food to your table. Unlike other restaurants in New York City who focus less on hospitality but more concentrated on restrictions on tip they force you to pay. Speaking about the food it is the most authentic italian tasty !!!

It’s super fun and kind of silly to go here! The pasta is indeed boxed Barilla but it tastes phenomenal. Great seating and atmosphere for fast casual

Food is good. Service concept is different. Pasta is made fresh and tastes good. It's not a full service restaurant. So you enter the place full of tables and get in line to place order. And then someone brings food to your table. The tables are very congested and since its a self service, you may need to get up multiple times to get water, condiments etc. If your order is made wrong, you'll need to get back in line to reorder or fis your order. The server or delivery person will not do it. May be good place to get something quick or to-go but not great for sit down.
