Caribou Coffee

Super experience points tonight. The spot was a spur of the moment choice, but Caribou Coffee was not. Mmm a milk chocolate mocha was on my mind and my companion likes a white chocolate mocha, but tonight was a twist. She had the white chocolate mint, and I had the milk chocolate campfire mocha. Just magical, aa if I roasted the tiny marshmallows myself. Mmmm.

PSA don't bother ordering curbside pickup unless you want to wait forever! Ended up waiting outside for 20 minutes after pickup time, called and was told to go through the drive though... Finally received order 30 minutes later... Would have left but already paid through the app...

Staff are really nice... super helpful, and amazingly fast!

No reason people have to wait 30 minutes in line.

Forget Starbucks, homie. Caribou is the spot! Always upbeat and friendly staff, with attitudes so bubbly it's contagious!

I order ahead using the app when I’m in my garage, about to leave. I’ve only had to wait for my order maybe twice, otherwise it’s always waiting for me! Friendly staff, great attitudes even when the drive thru isn’t working, make great suggestions for alternatives if they’re out of an ingredient for your order.

I truly love Caribou, but here lately the service at our local (Detroit Lakes) branch has gone down hill, and fast. I am hesitant to go back, but solely on the service, the coffee and food are great like always. As long as you go with the attitude of your time is unimportant to the baristas, you will enjoy the atmosphere. If you feel that your time is valuable, you will be disappointed and will have faster service at the local gas station.

The baristas are always courteous and fast. It would be nice if we could order ahead, but I'm sure they will get there soon.

Probably the worst Caribou location ever. I order the same drink every time, at every location I’ve been to. The drink is rarely the same when I order it at this location, most times the caramel isn’t even stirred into the drink, it’s just sitting at the bottom. Not to mention, my price for the same drink varies. Sometimes they run out of straws, sometimes it’s large cups. (No biggie, I can handle compromise typically). This morning it was caramel. How does one store continually not learn to order essentials properly? This morning, I opted for our local Barista where not only did they have all of the essentials, but it was also less expensive. I will, however, still return because I still believe one day they’ll get it together!!

Caribou offers the best 'pick me up' beverages for any time of day. Their food is awesome, too.

Went in this afternoon to get an iced caramel mocha (caramel and chocolate) and a bagel. I asked for an everything bagel, because I saw it in the display case, just to be told, “Oh. All of the bagels are actually expired.” No biggie... Except it was 4-5pm so I don’t understand why they would not have thrown them out in the morning and left them on display all day. Next problem I had was when I got my drink. The person in front of me must’ve ordered an iced caramel high rise (caramel latte), so instead of mixing/shaking a caramel MOCHA, they just threw chocolate syrup on the bottom of my cup. An iced caramel mocha is my normal drink whenever I go to Caribou Coffee, and I travel all over Minnesota. This location was the absolute worst. They also ran out of regular straws, and left only bubble tea straws out. (Which isn’t a big deal, but you’re a chain coffee shop. How can you run out of straws?)

Inconsistent. Caribou is one of my favorite coffee spots and the Detroit Lakes store really gives the brand a bad name.
