The seafood rice use to be the best now with every bite all you get is shells.crab shells shrimp shell empty clam shells someone in the kitchen is getting lazy no way a customer should be bitting into shells with the chance of swallowing and choking on them please fix this!!! All.of these empty shells in my food and I'm not even don eating and some of the shells are really small people can choke on this

The food is good and look real fresh. Only thing is I don't feel like I should have been charged $6 for a bottled carrot juice... That's crazy. Know not to buy drinks from there.. Otherwise the food is on point! My meal came out to 25 bucks

Home feeling intimate restaurant. Earth colors of beige and brown for the decor, can’t miss the beautiful Jamaica flag plaque and Psalms verses. Nicely shellac dark brown wood tables, each table against the wall has an outlet so you can charge your phone, a thoughtful plus!The food smells so delightful, drew me in right away. I wish I could try everything, like a sampler platter, everything just look so delicious. I had the cod fritters and rice and peas with some of the beef gravy. Excellent, just soooo good!The staff is pleasant, lovely young ladies. The business is new, about a month in now. Wishing them much success, I’ll definitely be back. Let’s get a website going, or a QR Code scan to an online menu flyer, get on Seamless and Uber Eats when you get more settled. I really want you to win! Great job Caribbean Starr!

I love walking into this place. The music, the smell of the food and the people. One lady used to stingy with the meat but she repented...so i like her now. Keep on keeping on Caribbean Star!

My first time and I was very pleased the food is fresh and well made. The kale and shrimp dish is amazing!

paid $28 for two medium oxtail, could not eat it because the meat was full of pure fat, just nasty. Took it back to give them a heads up that they oxtail was nothing but fat. Owner assured me that it wasn’t they responsibility to clean off the fat, that’s the meat market job and they cant clean the huge amount of meat they buy to serve. What a harsh customer service; so basically you don’t care that I paid $28 and received horrible food. Keep the same energy. I was one of they loyal customer always at work telling my co workers to eat there. They see me everyday. But one incident and this is they way they handled the situation. Just low and disgusting.

I am giving Caribbean Star -three stars for the Chicken soup. I am disappointed in the Salmon dinner. I asked for a medium size Salmon meal to go and the girl packed me a large meal. She over packed it with the non flavorful macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese has a hard top layer of cheese but the noodles was wet with no flavor and no cheese in between. She piled the wet cabbage on top of the macaroni and cheese. The bottom of the Salmon had a layer of white gel like substance. I couldn’t eat this $30.00 to go meal. SMH. The only item I would ever venture to this spot again is the chicken soup they should consider using flour dumpling then di tough cornmeal dumpling.

Listen the food is good but what I don't understand is why are we limited to sides with our dish. For instant I asked for mac and cheese and the girl says would you like a extra side of that I was lost for minute until I figured out what she was trying to say. But with that being said I'll take the trip to flavas in the bx, we're welcome to any sides we want and the price is less and the food is amazing

We came from the Jersey shore and found this wonderful gem in Harlem. The servers were accommodating even though the restaurant was extremely busy.I will say that my wife and i tried a sample first, but after a few bites, we quickly returned back to purchase takeout. Sharing this meal with our sons confirmed the authenticity of Caribbean Star!Check it out. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!Kudos!!

This place is worth a visit. They have big portions for reasonable rates. Constantly neat and with fantastic atmosphere. Will visit here again.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm jamaican and i know good food this is the best jamaican restaurant in harlem and the customer service is very great. My first time there but I'm definently gonna buy again and again. Big up unuh self!!!

Definitely my new go to after Rustys in harlem closed i think. The curry was delish, along with the tender Oxtails. The staff is a bit rude though, i honestly am tired of that kind so attitude. I'm west Indian and its almost like a cultural thing for them to act that way when they are in America. Stop looking so ungrateful and unhappy, everyone has some problems but be thankful you alive, have a job and work a place that serves good food and has great traffic. Smile, it will be alright. Sometimes I think twice about going to spend money where I feel like I'm not wanted. Very weird.

Food was mediocre. Jerk chicken was disappointing.
