I was told that this place is truly the Old Brooklyn you can still found today. This is especially true when you realize the Good Old Italian Neighborhood (and their precious food culture) has been dissapearing quickly in the area, “South Brooklyn”. They have the great mozsarella, pasta, sauce, breads but the most amazing thing I found there was the grilled artichokes. They are truly amazing and this alone would make this shop the gem of Carrol Garden. These quality good foods are not cheap but well worth it. I highly recommend you to stop by this amazing institution of Good Old Italian food culture.

Salted mozzarella is the best I've had in New York. Caputos is one of the places I miss despite not having left the neighborhood yet.

The fresh balls of Mozzarella are like little clouds from Heaven that drop themselves into a bath of salt water and emerge tasting even better. I wish I lived next door to this place instead of 2 subway stops away so I could go in every single day. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful as well. Great family business.

Best pasta and sauces I've ever had and the mozzarella can't be beat!!

Lots of homemade Italian deli items. Wide variety of cheeses, olives, homemade mozzarella, ricotta, sausages. Made to order sandwiches & fresh pastas. Reasonable prices. Takes credit cards. Even have home grown tomatoes in the summer.

The store is amazing. Fresh pastas, cheeses, olive bar etc. I'm very picky about burrata and their store made burrata is possibly the best in the city.

Wonderful frozen pasta and fresh mozzarella. Kind service. I’m about to make a pizza from their frozen pizza dough 😋
