Captin GYRO & Seafood

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The Spicy Gyro is a thing of art. I haven't lived in Lafayette for 7 years, but I always come to Captain Gyro's every single time I'm in or passing through Northwest Indiana.

My husband and I chose this restaurant as a new place to try. While they had different varieties of gyros, which we love, the flavor was lacking. Loved the baklava. Overall, the food needed more seasonings. The person working was nice and got our food ready in a timely manner.

My go to gyro. Always stop when I am in town.

I usually come here once every week or two. The place is plain and basic and it is a classic gyro and fry joint. Where it excels is consistency. Every time I have stepped in for a classic gyro and fry, it has always tasted the same. The pita bread has always been soft, fries always fried to the right consistency and the gyro meat shaved exactly the same. Those kind of details keep me coming in.

Just had a triple cheeseburger, super good and a spicy gyro, best in town so far that I have had.

They’re gyros and fries are really fresh and yummy! Definitely try out this place. I like the gyros more with just onion but I think that’s just the way Turks eat them. Their sauces are really good too

Captain Gyros is a great local place to get tasty gyros as well as other sandwiches and fries. I started going here when I was in college and have kept coming back when I am in town. The hamburgers here are great and in fact I actually prefer those over the gyros. The prices here are good for the amount of food that you get and the staff have always been friendly. This is definitely one of the best eateries in West Lafayette and at a great price.
