I love this place...have more than 12 years as a consumer...hasn't been the same though since the owners passing.

Had breakfast here. Place was very clean. The waitress was patient and attentive to my girlfriend and I. The food was prepared in a timely matter and was very fresh! I had 3 fried eggs, fried cheese bread and tostones! She had scrambled eggs,with peppers, onions and ham. Also yuca with fresh red onions! They were busy that early as well. We would definitely eat here again. This was actually my second visit. The first trip was for authentic Spanish coffee and some bread! Very tasty to say the least. Garcia's!

Is a small dominican restaurant in Washington Heights, NYC, the food is spectacular and a lot of food in every plate.

Low rating due mostly to terrible customer service after the original owner past away. More than once they got it wrong in simple things like my coffee and I order often and always the same, those ladies forget your order in a second. I mostly order the ham/cheese sandwich, good priced and fresh $5.

This is my absolute go-to spot when I used to live in the Washington Heights for three years. Yes they don't speak a lot of English, but the food is bomb AF and you get so much food for what you pay for. Whenever the owner is there, she does speak English so you'll be fine. Otherwise, just point in the menu and you'll be fine. Don't let that hinder you from having a fantastic home-cooked meal! What I usually get are the stewed oxtail, stewed goat, red snapper (if I feel a little spend-y), tripe soup, and Dominican soup. AMAZING every time.

Worst pernil Ive ever had. Should be seasoned, moist and shredded. Instead they served me three big pieces the size of jumbo meatballs, dry and unseasoned. I didnt know pernil could be that bad. Let them know, paid, tipped the ladies well and left.

Space is limited! And you have to find a parking spot because you won't be able to find any on the streets.

DISHONEST PLACEOrdered a whole chicken, when I got home, I was missing some pieces. This is not the first time this happened. The tostones were horrible, full of oil and the majarete, has harina instad of being made 100% from corn. Done going to this place. Pedí un pollo, le faltaron varias pieces, y no es la primera vez. Los plátanos fritos, enchubao de aceite. Horrible!

They greet you as soon as you walk in. Fast service, delicious good and cheap prices. Not fancy at all but worth buying from.

My third time there today. Initially visited the place for work. Was impressed with how clean their basement was. Floors were spotless, no odors, fridges organized and neat. A lot cleaner than the fanciest restaurant in town. Thats a place I would like to eat. The young lady(the owner) was very pulite, showed me everything I needed to see and than went upstairs where I ordered some food. You could see it was different from other places. Workers were well trained and professional. That young lady is very skilled and she rans a tight ship there. The food was fresh and very tasty and very reasonably priced. They have a nice dining room on the back for families. A true gem that place. Had a chance to back today. As always they make you feel welcome at the door. Took care of me quickly as I had to run. I think I gave enough reason for the well deserved 5 stars. Till next time.

I Ordered a half chicken but the chicken was too hard to chew . To be honest it seemed like the chicken might have been a few days old

First time eating here and they forgot something I ordered. I told them about it and they kept implying that they put it in the bag and I should go check the bag again. I explained I know the difference between 1 and 2. They then asked the kitchen person who confirmed there was only 1 empanada in the bag. They apologized but only after telling me 5 times to recheck the bag. Plus the food is disgusting at least in my opinion.
