Capitol Grille

About

Opened as the Grille Room in 1910, our signature Capitol Grille restaurant offers one of the most authentic dining experiences in the south. Serving simple and traditional Southern fare made with fresh ingredients from our own Garden at Glen Leven, each visit to Capitol Grille is an experience to be savored. Adjacent to Capitol Grille, our world-famous Oak Bar lives up to its notorious past, one that began during the onset of Tennessee prohibition. Taste the bar's bourbon library, boasting one of the largest collection of bourbons in Nashville with 130+ bottles. Both our restaurant and bar have been locally and nationally awarded as Nashville’s best!

You cannot be in a hurry or hungry when visiting Capitol Grill in Nashville. Doesn't matter time of the meal, they are historically slow with service. 30 years of visits proves this true every single time. The thing is, it is a great location and the food is also consistently good. Perfect for dinner before a show at TPAC or Sunday brunch, lunch on a weekday. Burger is great, the sweet onion bisque is something you'll always remember too. Just know it will take a long time for anyone to take your order, then for anyone to pour your water and the food will take 30-40 minutes, start asking for your bill as soon as the food comes because that is another 30 minute wait. Go when you have all the time in the world and it won't be an issue.

The area is known for Hermitage Tennessee

The Hermitage (Jackson's home) is east of town. The Hermitage Hotel is downtown.

If u book with American Express you get a credit

I have heard no such thing. But there could be some old ghost stories about the place

can't do that over public lines. call the hotel

Yes

Valet at the hotel, parking garages well within walking distance to hotel.

Actually the answer is no. The only parking option available at the hotel is valet. There is no "regular parking". The next closest you will get are paid parking garages in the area. The only exception to valet being included in the price is if you book one of the more distinguished suites, such as The Presidential Suite.

Not sure but worth the convenience
