Cantina Italiana

My wife and I went to the North End early on New Year's Eve day. We had planned on going to another restaurant but it wasn't open until 4:30 pm. We were hungry and looking for something that was open when a couple suggested Cantina Italiana. We were not disappointed we went. The restaurant was so cozy, the service was impeccable, and the food was amazing. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for a great experience!

I cannot describe my happiness in having dined in this restaurant of the north end. We had at our table an Italian waitress, Donna, very nice and prepared, she recommended the specials and my wife was very happy with the food. Finally we have found an Italian restaurant with Italian staff, who advised us well on both food and wine. We will be back soon and we will certainly always ask for her. Thank you so much for the service and the excellent food.

Atmosphere was great, service outstanding, the food was all delicious. I've never had Bombolatti Pasta so I'm no expert. It was a bit undercooked and thick for my taste, but The Red Sauce was the best I've ever tasted. Great experience in Little Italy!

You can pay a premium if service is exemplary... hence I give it a 5 stars. Food was great!

Had a great dinner at the bar. Friendly staff. Espresso Martini was a good kick off. All the food was fantastic.

Delicious Italian good! The pasta was great, the chicken was moist, and the bread was amazing. The waiter was attentive and service was prompt. The owner of the restaurant checked in with us and asked how our meal was. The only downside is when asked if we wanted Parmesan we were given the parm that is in the picute and looks like it comes from a can instead of real Parmesan that is grated. The atmosphere is relaxing and the lighting is dimmed, a lovely vibe. Fantastic!

Amazing. And so much easier than the smaller restaurant down the street that had a line out the door. Our server was authentic, but more importantly the food was amazing. Just what we expected

Hand made pasta and Gnocchi were really really good and tasty.This place has a large seating compared to other Italian restaurants on this street, so a lesser waiting time.In house Marinara (red sauce) was really tasty.Server was very friendly and informative.Good ambiance over all.

Quiet Italian restaurant in the Italian district. Great service. Very accommodating of a large crowd. Nice selection of wines. Large portions. Food was good but needed a bit of seasoning to perk it up. The saltambucco was a little dry but the mushrooms were great.

The North End has no shortage of good Italian food. This place is no exception! Pasta (with local clams!) was very good. The Antipasto Italiana really hot the mark. My wife and I enjoyed our meal and it was exactly the experience we were looking forward to.

This was a cute little place. For my partner and I, it was a bit too expensive. We only had drinks, and we really enjoyed those and the vibe of the restaurant. It was quiet and relaxing. The service was okay—I expected more attentiveness from the staff. Overall though, this was a nice little spot to stop for an afternoon drink.

Friendly staff with quick service. We had our two year old with us and they helped to get our meal out quickly before the meltdown. Thumbs up!

If you don't like amazing authentic Italian, fresh seafood and world class service... Can't help you. We've been coming to this place for over 20 years and it's a treat every single time. I'm currently full, happy and already dreaming about next time!

Great little Italian place with friendly service and very good food. Love the meatball and sitting at the bar and having some wine.
