This is an awesome place that we happened to visit unplanned just because we were hungry on our drive from Las Vegas to LA. This restaurant and this small town is on a hill top and closes at 5pm but is worth visiting. The food was also fresh and tasted well. The beer was great.

This was a nice place to sit down and eat while exploring Calico, but nothing exceptional in terms of food. The atmosphere and surroundings are the best part.

Great restaurant to hit up while camping or visiting Calico.Service - Great friendly staff and on point on orders.Food - Limited breakfast menu but the food is good with decent portions. They also provide you with peanuts at no charge.Cost - Fair prices and I believe it was a bit cheaper than your typical breakfast spots.Views - Beautiful views of the Calico mines and the train from the deck.Venue - Has a charm to it to take you back to the old days with furniture, decor style etc. Will be back for sure in my next Calico visit for sure.

Good food, friendly service. Very crowded and slow service. But they did the best they could. Somewhat expensive. Nice outside balcony for meals in the sun.

You can tell that the place is deserted, which makes it very cool!

Nice restaurant to sit and cool down from the blistering heat in the former mining town. Salad was OK, loved the water :-)

Have a drink at this restaurant in Calico. It is super well set in very distant times. What caught my attention was that the tables had peanuts and the ground was full of peanut shells. so ask for something and throw the husks on the ground.

If you are sensitive to westerns universe then it is important not to miss these places. The restaurant really recalls the atmosphere far west. The dishes are American. You have to go use bar drinks in jars filled with ice. The drinks are at will which grows to consume more.

Slow to get food, finally get food and we asked for more beers, they never came out. Had to eat with no drink. Then I overheard one lady say that she just poured a half one and they can have it for free. By the time she tried to give us that,it was like 10 minutes later. So we declined. Food was really good though. Took forever to get check also. The miners cage showed permanently closed so when we got to the top of the hill, they were open. They had REALLY cold beers and food menu looked good. Go eat there instead.

The historical stuff alone gives this place a different feel from the rest. The food was gourmet great. Excellent classic diner with great food. Customer service was different from other diners but overall good.
