The original Calhoun's two-level rustic barn structure (with signature silo) provides an atmosphere filled with relics of the picturesque farmlands of East Tennessee. It is convenient to all of West Knoxville, as well as Oak Ridge and Maryville, via the Pellissippi Parkway. In 1983, the first Calhoun's, a big barn-like structure, opened in West Knoxville as a tribute to the agricultural roots and great barbecue traditions of Eastern Tennessee. Within a year of its opening, the restaurant's signature hickory smoked baby-back ribs won the title of "Best Ribs in America" at the prestigious National Rib Cook-Off. It was clear a tradition of greatness had been born.

We had a group of 5 come in and our server, Jackie, was very friendly, attentive and hospitable! Not to mention the burger I had was delicious!! I would definitely come back!

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband and I regularly come to Calhouns and this location is just going down hill.... we always sit in the bar area but this weekend was a disaster and we will not be back to this location. The bartender was hammered drunk and very mean talking to his guest. I don’t know how they can let someone work like this. I mean this guy was trashed! All of our meals were wrong people were purposely leaving before it got worse and A few times before this shut down I always noticed him pouring out of bottles to his own cup and drinking which I never thought was right but this weekend was the last time we will be served by a drunk at this location. I rarely ever review but this company needs to do something about it.

Great place, group of 8 and got the pit. Great service and food. Steak Calhoun was excellent.
