Cake and Loaf

Ordered a birthday cake for my daughter at the last minute, no time to bake something at home. This place in my books comes the closest to our home made cakes. Their cake tasted great and the butter cream is sweet and creamy not too salty - just right. The cake was moist and had hints of vanilla. So happy with my last minute purchase, pricey but definitely fair for what you receive. Not only did the cake taste great but it looked absolutely awesome! Didn't try anything else, but all my daughter's rave about the COFFEE.

I have been here twice now in a span of a few years. The first visit I tried the mini egg latte, mini egg cheesecake, lemon cheesecake and cream egg brownie. The best items were the cheesecake. The second time I visited, Wednesday February 5 2020 around 2pm, I got 4 Nutella cheesecakes and one mini cinnamon bun. Disappointed they were sold out of the Nutella Belgiums. Parked on a side street and walked over as only two parking spots beside the location. Great tasting items but pricey. Not a place I visit often but for certain seasonal items.

Overpriced. Not very professional. They take on more orders than they can fill. Quality of products were not great. Pies leave much to be desired. I applied for a job there and had a interview. Glad I was not hired as they seem to be homophobic and racially biased. There are no vegan or sugar free options. Which I wanted to introduce. I will stick to old school bakeries and delicatessens elsewhere.

This place is exceptional! Incredibly creative desserts and pastries and the staff is unbelievably kind with every visit. The bread is moist, light and packed with flavor, and every single pastry tastes exactly as described. The blondie is delectable; still heavy yet light on the stomach with rich vanilla and custard notes, with a perfectly balanced butter cream frosting! The only negative feedback I have is it's definitely on the pricey side for a lot of items that you would typically think of as cheaper like brownies, cookies or crème eggs, and the small meat pies only have a pie lid rather than an entire crust or casing. Having said that however, the quality is well worth the price. This place is a hidden gem and I will definitely be returning in the future!

Very small so there's usually a line up out the door but very tasty and rich pastries! I like how they package things so nicely and they've got fair trade, vegan and I believe organic options as well. A little pricey however quality nonetheless. I'll surely return... I'd like to try their cakes!

Everything they make is absolutely delicious and worth every penny. If you are stopping in to pick up baked goods, do yourself a favour and get a latte, you will not be disappointed. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and patient.

Can't go wrong with the breads and pastries here. The space in this location is small and cute.

Visiting the farmers market location has become a weekend go to spot for delicious baked goods and fresh bread. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Original, creative and delicious baked goods and more. Awesome savoury food too. Vegan vegetable pie is awesome. You have to go at Easter for so many amazing choices. Great lattes too! Tiny but mighty in taste, personality and style.

This place is never open unless you're a stay at home mom or without a job to catch them on hours that regular people function. Also overpriced with most of their products. Only took you two weeks to reply. Could have grown full soy beans by then. Also, respect for noticing that you've lost Batman for life. Your cakes are under appreciated and underwhelming. Peace be with you indoor cats. Don't ask Batman to save you...

I love Cake and Loaf! Fresh and delicious treats for any occasion... or day! I can honestly say I have loved everything I have tried from them!
