Italians, Senegalese, French, Iranians, Cubans, Algerians, Bolivians, all true, hard-core Montrealers will tell you that coffee here is excellent,a thousand times better than Starbucks, not a drop of pretentiousness and often a discrete elegance that only time and tradition can create. Their prosciutto et fromage sandwich, with all its marinated vegetables will make you feel that you are Sophia Loren or Marcelo Mastroianni in a secret visit to Montreal.

The cafe latte is exactly how I like it: the coffee flavour is stronger than the milk. The food is OK, sandwiches and croissants. A great neighborhood place that reminds me of Italy. No frills. Simple and good.

An institution. The coffee beans. Expresso. Simple bar type sitting! Also tables around. Relax atmosphere. Like in your place! It is the taste. Everything else is extra.

Blast from the past! Recently renovated (2015), the owning/operating family kept with the original decor, only modifying what really needed a 21st century refresher. But that's exactly why this place is a staple in the Little Italy community: coffees made like they've always been made (excellent cappuccini!), wholesome sandwiches made with same-day delivered bread from nearby bakery, plenty of local legends constantly dropping in to say hi to everyone, etc. No reason not to come here (although gluten-free options are non-existent)!

If I was Toni Soprano, I would certainly hang out here with all my compadres. If you’re from Montreal, and never visited this place... “Ma che cazzo fai”. A Montreal classic that is well worth it!

We were here for a morning coffee. Very busy but snagged seats at the counter. We enjoyed toast with provolone cheese. Very simple but tasty. Enjoyable environment - lots of regulars.

old school, unpretentious, smells like old Italian men, loud despite sometimes being empty. I think it best describes the place.being in the heart of little Italy where old and young, men and women, people of different ethnicity come in for a cup of coffee and something to munch on, can't ask for better. that they do good. I mean, getting everyone in and feeling welcomed.so coffee, they use their specific blend of union which is an italian roaster in montreal. its very classic italian coffee. for me, it can be too bitter and acidic to be really enjoyable. its ok coffee.anyway, you come here for the vibe and to hang with regular folks, locals, first timer, tourists and the likes. its a classic of little italy. strictly speaking coffee, there's better (for me)
