Cafe Rio Aptos

The food was very good. We shared a ceviche and had the catch of the day and grilled calamari. We were out with our puppy lab (13 months) and sat on the patio. The service was very friendly and efficient. Oh, I almost forgot. The coconut cheesecake was delicious.

Food is especially well prepared, familiar but not the usual. Steaks, chops, pasta & fish

A nice beach side restaurant and bar. Offers inside and patio seating. A locals favorite. The bar is cozy and offers a well poured drink. The staff is accommodating. The meals are reasonably priced and range from a selection of seafood to lamb chops and steak. The salads are crisp, cold and satisfying. The bathrooms are large, clean and accommodate handicaped patrons. A good place to catch a sunset.

Great food, (we tried the gluten free pasta, salmon, crab cakes, and house salad) and great live music. Really good gluten-free pasta with vegetables. Friendly and helpful service.

It appears that Cafe Rio has a completely new wait staff. What's that about?Had the special ravioli with scallops and a tomatillo sauce. I wasn't happy with my choice as I found it to be vinegary :-(

My husband and I love this place when we go to Aptos for our vacation from Sacramento. They have thee best ahi tuna appetizer. I always get the linguini and clams and he always gets the special of the day and after many many visits we've never been disappointed! ! Prices are high but the food is amazing and the dining experience is wonderful!
