Great atmosphere! I went mid-day for a business lunch. I was able to get food, connect my laptop and talk w/o excessive noise or interruption.

A classic old school coffee shop which has changed a little since it first opened back in the early 1970s. There are very few genuine old school shops left in the city. They have a wonderful selection of loose teas.

Great study space, good bagels, hummus, snacks. Great coffee. Outlets and WiFi. They did some auto bathroom thing recently but at least they have decent facilities.

Friendly and accommodating. Plenty of seating. Good portions. Vegan friendly.

I enjoyed talking it up with the owner. He laments how difficult it is to get a permit to have live music. Back in the day there was more of a community feeling. He would like to get that back, but a lot of foot traffic is for takeout, and he notes the impact that computers have had people's interactions. It is a nice place, and really has been iconic in the neighborhood. But there's nothing to set it Above the Rest at the time being. Recommended.

Cozy, chill and authentic place. I liked the many choices of cookies/cakes from various cultures. I had a Palestinian cake based on dates. It was delicious and the coffee too!

I liked it. The atmosphere, the food, the beverages and the helpful people behind the counter we're great. There's a lot of food options from breakfast and lunch to snacking, they are open a lot of the time, and are easy to get too. I just wish they still stocked orangina

Super low key space with a wide variety of things for everyone! They have gf and vegan foods and drinks. The owner and his family take their time to get to know you. Such great vibes!

Love this place. Food is really good and reasonably priced for SF. Came here for breakfast and was impressed. Owner owned and operated. Very close to BART 24th and Mission.

It was impossible not to dance a bit in this laid-back, friendly feeling coffee shop. The selection of beverages made it hard to choose just one (I came back three times in a two day trip), and the homemade baked goods all over the counter were DELICIOUS! Whenever I came in here the patrons were as welcoming and friendly as the atmosphere. I could have spent hours working in here on my laptop and ordering drink after drink. I can't wait to come back.

Good place for a meeting or sitting down with a group for a coffee. Lots of people come to this place to play board games or do group meeting because of the setup. Make sure you consume something while you're staying there, the owner does not like people just costing. If you want to try a better coffee go with the Brazilian roast
