Cafe Hollander Madison Wi

My daughter and I had breakfast at Cafe Hollander this morning and our server Sabrina was most attentive and helpful, keeping us well supplied with coffee and tending to our on-going needs. Also good reviews to the gruyere cheese. mushroom and sauteed onion omelette:-)

We're so excited to have found the cafe Hollander! We love the "sister" restaurants in the Milwaukee area and are happy to have this company closer to home. Vibe is very cool, food is interesting and delicious, kids meals are nice! Pricy but rightly so. Portion size is just right and the food always tastes fresh.

Cafe Hollander has a wonderful atmosphere. Eating/drinking could use some improvement in consistency. I have had great beers here served in a timely fashion both at a table or at the bar. I have also had experiences where I get my beer right away, while my wife has to wait 10+ minutes for a cocktail. I enjoy relaxing in this atmosphere but feel the service could be more consistent.

We really enjoyed the recommendations made by our awesome server Sabrina! The skewer appetizer was delicious, as well as the meatloaf. Thank you for making our birthday dinner so special!

We had an amazing brunch here. Great quality food, everything we ordered tasted delicious. The kid portion was appropriate and balanced including fruit. The coffee was brewed when ordered. Good service. The place is big and it was crowded but we didn't wait long to be seated and be served.

Came in for brunch with friends on Sunday. We came in early on purpose because we know the place gets packed pretty fast. We started with the poutine because it’s an overall great app. Justine recommended for us to get a brunch party since we were all having mimosas. Great idea. She also said the Bloody Mary’s are popular so we got the spicy badger and WOW. Food was great and Justine was smiling the whole time. Never missed a beat. We asked for another brunch party set up and Justine cane back, poured us drinks, and laughed with us. Ended up getting pretzel breakfast sandwich, berry basil French toast to share and they were all amazing. Chicken and waffle brown threw me off as I was expecting an actual waffle but it was still good. Justine cleared away our plates right away. Never had to ask for refills for water. Overall awesome service.

I just survived Cafe Hollander at Hilldale. We watched tables that sat after us turnover before we got our order. By the time we got our food, the fries were a nice room temperature and the grilled sandwich was stone cold. Might have told someone had they bothered to stop by the table. We had to beg who seemed to be an assistant manager to get us out of there after almost 2 hours. He didn't seem too interested in figuring out why we were desperate to leave. This is Valentine's Day but they also appeared to have a wait with open tables. Cafe Hollander in Milwaukee has always been good. Based on our experience, if you live in Dane County, you'd have a better experience and spend less time overall by driving to Milwaukee rather than going to this location. They gave my wife a rose, it was a nice touch. At least she didn't have to resort to eating it.

Always a great experience, always a long experience thou. Our brunch took about 45-60 min to get to our table. ETA: Cafe Hollander is always busy, regardless of a holiday such as the day after Christmas, which is also my birthday. I have friends that will not go back because of it, even when management gave them a gift certificate.

We were so happy to find Cafe Hollander for lunch/brunch the other day. We were starving so we started with the brisket poutine which was fabulous. My boyfriend got the smokehouse burger which was cooked perfectly and I went for the BlackBerry Turkey which was delicious. The best part of our meal was our server Justine! She was so friendly and knowledgeable with great customer service. Justine gets 10 stars from us!

This is a pretty good brunch place in Madison, and the best on the west side. It's almost always busy, so be prepared for a wait. The food is excellent -- especially the French toast. They also have pretty good mimosas; I tried the berry option -- excellent! Their chocolate waffles are also outstanding. The service is pretty good as well, especially considering how busy they are. Overall an excellent place for brunch and then shopping at Hilldale.

Stopped in a few months ago on our way to visit family in Minnesota. We had Justine as our server, and let me just tell you she is FANTASTIC. Never had even a half empty cup, she answered any questions (however silly they may have been) with a smile and radiated a warmth that all servers should have. Will definitely stop back in for Justine when we visit later this year!

Blackened shrimp salad was amazing! The staff and ambience was equally nice. A wonderful menu aimed to please any diet, and an impressive adult beverage menu to boot. Enjoyed so much I cannot wait to return.

Awesome atmosphere! Amazing food! Me and my boyfriend came here for brunch and our waitress Justine was so attentive and sweet! Will absolutly return for her! (:

Stopped for Sunday brunch on a whim and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was great and delivered quite quickly for a busy time. The atmosphere is relaxed, staff was friendly, decor is pretty cool. Bathrooms are in a weird location but they were clean. Will definitely return to Cafe Hollander.

The selection of Belgium beers is great! Very flavorful! The food was fantastic as well, using local ingredients.
