Cafe Dupont never disappoints. Their apps have an incredible amount of work put into them and the entrees are very well put together. Incredible flavor from all of the courses. Don't forget to try the cocktails!

Excellent service, very nice restaurant, great food, friendly attentive staff! It was really loud and hard to hear our server or each other but I really recommend this restaurant. I know our server gave us her name but I could not hear it. She was very nice though. We had the red snapper and the chicken and brother were excellent.

Food was awesome the Foie gras pate was amazing. Even my wife who does not like duck liver. She had a change of heart after trying it from my plate. One of the few things I miss about Alabama was that resturant.

This spot is worth trying. They have large portions for fair prices. Always well kept and with fantastic mood. Will come back again.

Hey; it was a birthday and the comped us Champagne. Not only that but it was a Wednesday off hours and they put us in the front room where we were practically alone. We doubled down on the fried oysters and okra. There were four of us and it worked out perfectly. I had the red snapper over grits. Think the others had the pork tenderloin, flank steak and the vegetable plate. It was all wonderful. Service and presentation are a bonus. Thanks to the staff.

Absolutely a place worth stopping over, the food is awesome and fresh, the cost is convenient and it is consistently clean in here. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed for the scale of restaurant it purports to be. The good and bad: The aperitif was a very light pour. The salad was great, both in presentation and components. The foie gras was very fresh and delicious. The steak, however, was over sauced and the sauce was like a barbecue sauce...on a steak...not good (and not even a good sauce at that). I will say that the sides were good (Brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes). The wine I ordered was not available and I laughed when the server recommended a replacement that was $60+ more per bottle - so be careful there. (Unfortunately, the service did not improve from there.) The ambiance was nonexistent, except to say the tables for two are small and very tightly packed against the wall. My wife’s fish and sides were “OK.” To sum up, there are better options for upscale dining.

This is my favorite white table cloth restaurant in the city. The staff is attentive and knowledge. Love the cheese plate to start, especially the drunken goat. Love the fresh food and changing menu but can never pass up tje rabbit two ways when available. Wine and drink menus are also top shelf.

Logan, our server was phenomenal! 1st time visit and he made us so comfortable. Enjoyed every bite and sip of everything!!! The bourbon selection is very desirable (my husband was happy). Thank you Cafe Dupont ❤

We have wanted to try Cafe DuPont and decided to come here for our 32nd anniversary! We had a wonderful dinner, with excellent service. It is a quiet, upscale, and romantic environment, yet comfortable and relaxing. It was perfect for a nice celebration dinner. Excellent wine selection. Excellent menu. The chef handled my unique food allergies without a problem. We had a fabulous evening.

This place is in a cool building and bar area is of a bygone era. We started with some craft cocktails that were tasty. We moved to the dining room and started with an excellent bottle of red wine. The service was a little slow at first, but our server definitely upped his game the rest of dinner. I liked the way they handled the tasting menu by giving us a different dish so we could sample each others. After a long day, we had to pack it in early and our server kindly boxed up the final course and dessert for us and had us on our way quickly. Given our other dining experiences, this is definitely a nice change of pace in Birmingham. No disrespect to the other restaurants, but this was more romantic than others.

Great food, great service

Great service and great food! It's a bit loud inside the dining area but that's expected with a smaller room! I had the filet and it was PERFECT. One of the best I've ever had. Make reservations!!When we walked into the bar area it almost felt as if we stepped back into the 1940s. The decor and overall ambiance takes you back in time.

Until last evening this was one of our favorites. We had a reservation but were seated 35 minutes late - without explanation. We could see two open tables but still we waited. Then the salads were unusually small at $10 each. Our friends asked why the salads were so small. Then came the fried chicken, my personal favorite so I know what to expect, as extremely small portions except for one. We had no visit from the manager to apologize for the wait, and no offer for a complimentary dessert, cocktail, or even a coffee! I don’t know what is going on here, but we will not return.
