Burke's Seafood

Excellent family-run local fish shop with take-out and eat-in options, plus a fish counter if you want to cook for yourself. Anything they cook up for you is always done perfectly, from the standard fish & chips to their excellent chowders and bisques. For eat-in they offer a small, rotating selection of local brews. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about their wares, able to give advice on how different types of whitefish should be cooked differently, e.g. Everything is always fresh, and the staff is always friendly.

Place is not bad. The only thing I really don't like is that the seafood platter doesn't include shrimp. I have never been to a seafood restaurant that don't have the basic 4 of clams, scallops, shrimp and fish in a seafood platter. If I wanted shrimp with my seafood platter at Burke's, I would have to buy a small shrimp box to complete my plate which would be an additional $14. So while it's a good place for a quick fried seafood place, it stiffs you on an incomplete platter and makes you pay additionally for the shrimp. So in all I paid about $40 for a completed seafood platter. I think I will go elsewhere. The Lobster Stop in Quincy is pretty good and more reasonable. Good value for a COMPLETE seafood platter!

Fish used here is very fresh , whether it’s to cook for yourself or in the food ordered. But otherwise an average place. The sides weren’t that great. But the service here was very good .

Fresh glazed salmon pieces for the weekend! I would highly recommend a delivery of fish from Burkes's Seafood for an individual or a family for the weekend. I would give this local business a AA or a AAA rating. The Mercato website has a huge contribution to offer. I am very happy to social distance this weekend.

This was our favorite place to eat in Quincy and nearby areas. We had crab cakes, stuffed clams, and the fried fish and clams strips family meal which was a great deal. The sitting area was small but the customer service was outstanding. Highly recommend.
