Buddy's Pizza

Update: I have to give it up to Buddy's, they are all about ensuring customer satisfaction. I received a follow-up from corporate as well as management from the location I was at. So I am willing to give them another shot. I understand people have off days and am hoping that was the case.Adding another star.Does not live up to the hype. The service wasn't the best either. I felt I was aggravating my waitress; however that could have been because I was with a large party. If I ever go back, I'd be willing to change my review if my food and service are better.

We stopped at Buddy's tonight, while we were in Detroit for a concert. Ashley M. was our waitress for this visit. She was covering the entire upstairs of the restaurant this evening. She was so friendly and on top of everything, she did amazing for us and for everyone that she was waiting on. We ordered an individual size Antipasto salad (which was more than enough for the two of us) and some cheesy bread for our starters. Both were very tasty. Then on to what we came for, some of the original "Detroit Style" pizza. We ordered a Four Square sized Lake Michigan pizza, which comes with their Motor city cheese blend, seasoned ground beef, caramelized onions, blue cheese, and a tomato basil sauce. It was Delicious. If you are ever in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping and and trying some great food.

It's every bit as good as it was when I was a kid. Things change, and restaurants come and go, but Buddy's remains tremendous.

Expensive!!! As good as usual but really expensive for tomato splattered bread.

We went to the Pizza place there. Wow! We got the Buddy's Pizza. It was really, really good.

The public service TV Pizza was good could have used less sauce. Atmosphere was nice, pleasant and very considerate wait staff. Not a very busy crowd on a Wednesday afternoon

I’ve been a customer for over 50 Yrs. I have tried other pizza’s but none can match the great taste of the meat lover’s or the Florine Mark! The main location is the best.

The food was great the staff was nice and the birthday song and sundae was the best part 🤗

Fluffy, crispy, tasty! Birthplace of Detroit Style! 10/10 would recommend!

Awesome! The waitress we had was very good! Service was fast. We had Greek salad which was excellent, and of course pizza which was delicious! The place is clean. I highly recommend!

Called in a pickup order at 5:15. Had to ask phone person when it would be ready. She said 20-30. Showed up at 5;45. Had to wait 25 more min for one of my three pizzas to be done. Staff was friendly but management needs to run a better carry out.

I want to give a shout out to Ashley, our server, who is friendly and great at what she does. I have been coming to Buddy’s since I was a little girl and now my daughter is in love with Buddy’s. The pizza is fantastic and we have to get the antipasto salad with their vinaigrette along with it. Our family will continue the tradition and love for the best Detroit style pizza.

Great atmosphere. Lovely waitress Hummers were delicious. It's in our neighborhood and my husband loves the place🤗

My go to place for a slice and a great meatball sub. All the food is great. Fresh breads, baked goods, and take home bake items. Definitely check them out, you won't be disappointed.

A must-visit for genuine, square cut Detroit pizza. Really different flavor. Nicely seasoned sauce and Wisconsin brick cheese instead of traditional mozzarella. It totally works though. Definitely our first stop on our next trip to Detroit. But what's with the round pans??
