Great, unique atmosphere, extraordinary menu, terrific service. Love it here. A bit pricey but worth a lovely night out. And they have Colorado Native beer and the first liquor license in CO. 😊

The food was very good but not "to die for". Service was fast and friendly. While I am not likely to become a regular, the history and ambience make this a great place to bring out of town visitors to.

The ambiance was reminiscent of the era in which it was built. It was so over the top, very old world, and quite amazing. The service and food fought for 1st place of the whole experience. It was my first time trying quail, and I doubt I'd find better anywhere else.

Me and my boyfriend seen the restaurant on face book and could not believe are luck! If you get a chance go when you get a chance cause it will be one of the meals you ever eat. The service, food, waitress was amazing and the historical material around you will keep your attention for sure.

Dinner for six the day after Christmas, great food, great atmosphere. Great wait staff. Such an eclectic fun place. We had quail and lamb chops and steak and ribs. All the salads and the navy bean soup were delicious. Apple pie and chocolate brownie desserts scrumptious. And we got a waiter to take our family portrait in front of the bears.

Very unique restaurant and worth a visit for the experience. The menu is printed on old newspapers. Lots of traditional and wild game specials.

What a fascinating little place! The pot roast sandwich has been on the menu since 1893, and was so good! They've got lots of unexpected things, like rattlesnake and elk, and of course their beef and buffalo were amazing. Lots of history and atmosphere. They have a parking lot, too, which is a nice surprise downtown.

What an experience! You don't have to be a history buff to enjoy this place. Oh the reservations fill up quickly, so definitely plan on calling in a reservation. I had rattlesnake as an appetizer, and it was excellent. The bison burger, with a side of glazed mushrooms, incredible. We had a really great server, and we'll definitely be back. Prices are very reasonable, this place is highly recommended!

I walked in thinking I was entering a typical tourist restaurant in a big city. Boy was I wrong. The service is PHENOMENAL. You glass is never empty. Your used utensils are replaced within SECONDS of your first course bring cleared. And the food! I was expecting something akin to a chain steakhouse. Nope. This restaurant delivers red meat cooked just as you want it. The sides seem to be truly made in house, and the side salad is delicious (and I'm not a salad guy). Come for decor. Stay for the food. Return for the service!

I've had better experiences here before. Felt like my waitress was overwhelmed. Asked for my buffalo ribeye steak medium rear and it was medium well with no pink and not juicy at all. The salmon was warm at best. My guess is that the plate came up as ordered and it took to long to get to me. Still a great place to check out. Lots of history here. I'm sure I'll be back.

Yes, its pricey but you're paying for the experience as well as the food. We brought visitors from Spain and they were delighted. We started with the rattlesnake queso which was pretty good. I had the elk and it was delicious. They ate bison prime rib and elk and were pleased. The place itself is very entertaining. Quite unique. We had a very good experience service wise.Again, it is not cheap to eat here and it is not the best cuisine I have ever experienced but it was a very fun night. The Spaniards will have a good story to tell when they go home.

Arrived 7pm after about a mile walk from the conference center. Got a half order of Rocky Mountain oysters, then grilled elk with peppercorn crust and garlic mash. Came with bread and navy bean & ham soup. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere with a sense of history. Food was great, perfect cook on the elk. Just what I was wanting tonight. Total came to about $60.

Ambiance is amazing. Staff super friendly. Bartender went way above the call of duty. Food off the chart. Bring your wallet. Great things cost good money. Worth every penny.
