Broadway Soul Food

Was on our way to Arthur Henry for a juicy scallop and steak meal and saw Fixins was now open. Instead of standing over the grill at Arthur Henry we found ourselves sitting at the bar of Fixins, curious and excited to try some comforting soul food. After a long debate I finally ordered the shrimp and grits over the smothered chicken. I have a feeling I'd have been thrilled with either choice though. The gravy was so tasty with the perfect amount of seasoning and a perfect compliment to the buttery grits and shrimp. The portions are beyond generous and while I wanted to try a few more menu items, I was too full! Now the plan is to slowly work my way through the menu. Definitely coming back for seconds!!

I ordered oxtails that were super greasy and they put to much roux on top of my rice which made it really soggy and the taste wasn't good as well. My husband order smother chicken, the gravy was extra clumpy and there was more bread on the chicken than meat. I will never be going back and it was a wate of money.👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

My bartender Michael Neely was AMAZING! Superb customer service, very attentive, and helpful with explaining the dining menu & cocktails...Great food, Great service! Will definitely go back!
