Comfortable Sinatra-era family cafe with regulars who greet nono in the corner by the jukebox. Only 9 tables and a bit easy to miss under the huge billboard over its roof, this seems be traditional New York Italian with home recipes, pleasant staff and pasta that is not overcooked. Not too loud, not too quiet, either. Drawback? Cheap olive oil, probably mixed with canola like chains such as Olive Garden, when good olive oil is the norm in Venice. Bring your wife in a Victorian hat to enjoy the 50’s music.

Small, quaint, with outstanding food and service. We had the lasagna and the special, fried ravioli in a red sauce with large fresh shrimp. Outstanding, as was the service. First time here, will be back.

It's a small place and you will have to wait, but if you love good Italian, it is worth it. Portions are big!I had the Lasagna, it was very good! Had to take 1/2 home. Bread was good also. Highly recommended.

Fabulous food. Minestrone soup was outstanding as was linguini with seafood. Great waitress and servers. Old place so charming but not highly decorated. Loved it and plan to go again soon.

I loved the food and atmosphere. Very cozy. What made it extra special was our server Terre who took great care of us, told us about the area and made our meal super enjoyable. She was professional helpful and fun to chat with!

Best Italian food I have ever had. The portion sizes are so big no one finished their order.

After driving by Briandi's for years, we finally stopped at the urging of friends from Sarasota who are regulars - and we are so glad we did. Everything is homemade: the wonderfully warm, fresh loaves of bread with dipping oil and some incredible mix of spices, the thick minestrone soup, the homemade (a first for us) mozzarella sticks, with delicious marinara sauce, and everything else. Entrees were great - plentiful and delicious. Not a big wine or beer list, not a quiet, candlelit ambience, but who cares. Go early if it's season - only 9 tables. Lots of folks taking out (our visit was in March). Nice early bird menu as well. It's loud, it's fun, and it's well worth your time. Sadly, we were too full to try one of the desserts, especially the spumoni bomba (ice cream dipped in chocolate to form a ball), but we saw many diners ordering it.

This is a FABULOUS restaurant! My family and I have enjoyed this place frequently for several years. It is a small jewel with a lovely, intimate atmosphere. Every meal has been delicious! The staff attends to every need and they make every visit so very nice. In fact, I am bringing my son (on a visit from out of town) next Friday!

Portions are big and worth the price. Bread is good. Service is good, but just good. The gravy is way over spiced..if you like a more plain tomato gravy, this place is not for you. Things tasted fresh, but I really hate herby tomato gravy so I probably won't come back. The decor is very, very dated...

Questions & Answers

I would think you would have to because the last couple of times I went there I noticed they had door dash drivers there

Not sure I believe there closed

Unfortunately no.

The seating is minimal, the food is fantastic. Restaurants like this one is far and few between. Make sure all your party is there before you can be seated. One of our all time favorite italian restaurants. The portions are unbelievable, you can also get smaller portions if you get there early enough.
