An excellent place to work/quietly study. It is two stories. The second floor reminds me of a loft in a big cabin you'd find. Tons of seating, and the separation of the two floors makes the first floor noisier and great for catching up with friends, while the quiet second floor acts as a kind of pseudo-library. A pleasant surprise off of Penn - a usually pretty icky street with lots of pan-handling and a grimy vibe, this Starbucks is especially clean & cozy. Big windows that overlook the street, comfy chairs, lots of brick and wood features. Can't say enough good things! Also, drinks are fine. Every Starbucks is the same on this front. Staff very nice!

Great pitstop when you are walking around DC.

This Starbucks has a Clover coffee maker and serves a set of the special Reserve coffees, all smooth and highly flavorful. There are others found in California MD and near Madison Square Garden in NYC. Clover shops are the only place Reserve coffees may be purchased in small bags. Plan to spend some time with a cup to see if you want a bag. 50 g for 16 oz will approximate the Clover flavor, but the Clover filters out grounds and has uniform brewing time/temp for all the coffee brewed. Kind of what you might expect for a machine that sold for $10,000 before Starbucks bought the company that made it. Reserve branded venues may see more Clovers.

First time at this one, i live here but rarely get over to Capitol Hill this one is in one of the older cap hill buildings older here means the 1800s it has an upstairs as well. It is filled with either cap hill staffers or the well off folks who can afford to live on Capitol Hill. As a Starbucks goes pretty standard but a cozy one with lots of nooks and crannies

By far the nicest Starbucks I’ve been to. The staff is extremely friendly and the coffee and food is fantastic. Great place to sit down and relax.

Some of barristers need to improve their attitude towards foreigners. They know whom I am talking about

Friendly service and the staff makes an effort to get to know you. Everything else is pretty typical for a Starbucks.

The staff here is so nice! They greet you as soon as you come into the store and make you feel welcomed.

The crew at this location is always friendly with me. They will also remark on my absence- someone really notices me! Today after being gone for about 2 months they said welcome back. That’s the mark of great management.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful: professional, promptly, friendly, competent. But the actual coffeeshop experience @ this site has meaningfully deteriorated since I visited last: homeless folks sleep here and smell up the place, the bathrooms were just awful and going without attention, and it made me uncomfortable w/ coming back in the future. Also, one day I complained about homeless folks taking up space + smelling up the entire upstairs. Curiously, they asked two Black men to leave when the actual person who smelled the worst and was causing the issue was a White guy in the corner. They did go and speak to him, I don't know what he said in response, but I do know he's still laying here even as I type and now I'm googling to see what other options exist in the area. This is so uncomfortable and so disruptive to work I had hoped to do at Starbucks today after purchasing several items this morning.

Ive been going to this location for just about two years now. Baristas at this location think they can fool their customers into thinking an iced coffee is the same as cold brew. Most of them, including management, always have a bad attitude. There are only a couple good baristas that greet their customers and are honest about what they do and don't have in stock.

I get coffee all the time but starting to not like them like I use to. I think it's just bc it's convenient for me to use the app is why I am always there.

Not usually a big fan of Starbucks, but will go when I need my coffee fix and in a bind. This location, however, is pretty good. After a couple times visiting, they remember you and, when there's a line at the register, they have your coffee ready when you are paying. Very friendly atmosphere!
