Bounxou Thai

Best Thai food in all of Jacksonville area! If you want authentic Thai made by people who are Thai and aren afraid of spice, this is your place. Everything I've had is excellent! Everyone who works there is overwhelmingly nice and helpful. I highly recommend this place and go is often as I can. I don't eat out much but this is the only place I'll make an exception for 😁

3rd visit and again it was great. Love the red curry Duck, little pricey, but very good. We tried out a bunch or Thai places after our favorite one closed down and found this gem. Nothing fancy looking from the outside, but very nice décor inside. Family run and very friendly. Check it out.

A gem of a place. It’s in the Outback shopping center with plenty of competition, but I would pick Bounxou for lunch or dinner any time. I’m always impressed by the little touches that make the table appealing. Not every restaurant does that. Yesterday I had the Curry Puffs for an appetizer to share, and my friend and I both enjoyed the curried vegetables in pastry. They were accompanied by a cucumber salad that turned out to be chopped cucumber. I don’t know what was in it besides cucumber, but it was delicious!My friend had a vegetable and pronounced it excellent. I had Shrimp Pad Thai and it was delicious. I had asked for mild heat and spice on the side to add if I wanted. It was perfect. I think the best part of the day was our server. As good as the food and glasses of wine were, he made the meal special. I haven’t had a server seem so happy in his job and so willing to be sure we enjoyed our meal in a long while. I hope Bounxou Thai is right there for a long time.
