Bonchon Chicken

We drove from West Los Angeles to check out Bonchon in the San Gabriel area & it was well worth it!! Hands down the best chicken wings Ive tried EVER! We ordered several items from the menu & non disappointed. Portion sizes are generous. The atmosphere is was very laid back. The restaurant was spotless. Music was playing in the background & over sized TV’s in every direction. Thank you to the staff there as they were extremely polite & very attentive. Id highly recommend Bonchon to all those that are in search of good comfort food!!!

I ate a fair share of Korean fried chickens while living in Korea. The fried chicken offered by Bonchon is nowhere close to the street corner or fancy fried chicken restaurants that I have the pleasure in tasting. I ordered the garlic sauce drumstick/wing/tender special. I barely can taste the garlic. There is no sweetness to the sauce. The chicken, especially the tender, is beyond salty. Two large cups of water is not enough to quench my thirst and to reduce the saltiness. And unfortunately, chicken in the United states, while big and meaty, lacks the flavor. Two stars goes to the excellent service and the crispyness/texture you would expect from a Korean fried chicken place. 1/2 star more for the flavored fries. I like the fries so much more than the chicken. The fries are very delicious.

I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this great restaurant. happy to tell that we enjoyed a pleasant evening and the venue was clearly one of the reasons for that fruitful evening. The team helped in a lovely manner, the cuisine was delicious and my friends were very happy. We shall no dout visit again for more events. thanks very much.
