Bon Matcha

I discovered Bon Matcha at a charity event in DC. A year later when I was in Dupont Circle, I decided to stop by their shop, which was really like an ice cream stand. They had a small menu where you could order drinks and soft serve. I waited in line for about 45 minutes on a Saturday late afternoon for a refreshing treat. They featured two flavors - Matcha and Sakura (which is made from Cherry Blossoms) so I decided to get a Matcha and Sakura Soft Serve Swirl on a regular cone for myself and a Sakura Soft Serve on a regular cone for my boyfriend. It was worth waiting for and definitely served as a great afternoon delight.

The BEST matcha latte I ever had. Looking forward to trying their ice cream next time 👍The ice cream is sooooo soft and creamy, so it melts quickly. There was a reason why people were eating so fast haha The cone is very good, very crispy. Melted ice cream doesn't drip out of the bottom 👏🍦You should definitely get Large. So worth it!This place will definitely become a regular spot for me :)

Came to Bon Matcha after eating lunch, and wanted to see what the hype was about! It's a very small window stand between two restaurants. I ordered the swirl which consist of the Matcha and their seasonal flavor for the month, which is Vietnamese Coffee. The good: The matcha part was delicious as advertised, and it is soft serve ice cream. The bad: They had no more cones! What ice cream stand doesn't stock enough cones! Not a fan of the Vietnamese coffee combined with the Matcha since the coffee flavor was overpowering the matcha flavor. Overall, it's a nice spot if you are craving for matcha soft serve ice cream. Definitely check out their site to see what their monthly seasonal flavor of the month will be!
