I am not concerned with pricey food, I was looking for the quality of the food. Which was completely missing. Cooking food is my passion and I know when I eat delicious food made with passion. The food was okay mostly edible. Presentation and garnishing was certainly awesome. Ambience is acceptable but not that you would wow. The only reason I am giving 1 more star is because of the staff. They were awesome very friendly and got us a surprise desert for our anniversary. Thank you.

Very expensive , food was just okay. The quantity was not sufficient for the price. Not sure why they named it as Bombay , did not see delicacy from that region.

Very nice ambience with good food and great service. It is a place for a fine dining experience. Food portions are small, well presented and lightly spiced. Interesting cocktail and dessert menu. Overall a nice dining experience.

We loved everything about this restaurant. The food, the service, the ambience and the hospitality. The idea of presenting Indian food with unexpected spices was ecstatic. Upscale restaurant for a good formal dining experience. The drinks were amazing with some twists. Overall: Brilliant choice of dishes and kudos to the chef!

Bombay Velvet is a wonderful experience in tasting Indian food with an American spin. The flavors are an exciting blend of traditional spices without the taste of curry overwhelming the palette. My wife and I order the asparagus soup, it was a perfect start to our meal. Next we added the chaat with mango, the cheese mushrooms, and the Indian fried chicken. Delicious!! For our mains we choose the Eggplant Moussaka and the Butter Chicken Breast. The eggplant was surprisingly creamy the perfect blend of spices and texture. The butter chicken was tender and with great blend of spices. This is a great gem of a restaurant in the heart of Reston!!

The best Indian food ever. The portions are perfect.. not overfilling. The food is Indian fusion so not exactly what you see in average Indian restaurant. The flavor and taste are amazing , fresh but not overpowering. The ambiance is classy and inviting and service attentive and friendly. A must try five star experience.

Fantastic food. Fantastic drinks. Everything on the menu has incredibly unique flavors. The service is phenomenal. Can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. Definitely worth the visit.

I am big fan of Rasika but unfortunately its too far from Herndon. Been to Bombay Valvet three times so far. I have to say, they came long way in their service. Initially it was alright for such fancy and upscale restaurant which is understandable for a big restaurant like this. Its not nice to bash a restaurant in first 3-4 weeks time(no one is perfect). We don't have any Indian restaurant in NOVA of this scale(decor and food). Was there mainly for appetizers this time. Didn't had this good garlic naan with black garlic dust in my entire life. Server ARUN gave me best suggestions.

I venture to explore this restaurant for a very first time on my birthday on 12/12/2019. I had 7 guest! Frankly this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Service, atmosphere and food are a be back experience. Big thank you to the chef and our waiter. Everything was simply perfect! I have not even one negative comment. Your hard work and effort are highly appreciate, I wish there were more restaurants like this one around here.

Amazing food, excellent customer service. We arrived right before the restaurant was closed but Aaron was very kind and welcoming.Highly recommend this great restaurant. Thank you Bombay Velvet staff!
