I live around the corner and have been meaning to try this place. My mother and I went today and while we were impressed with the beautiful ambiance and interior, the food left a lot to be desired. The tandoori combo was some of the most dry lamb, salmon, and chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken tikka masala was decent, however the rice side was extremely bland and clumpy. After complaining to the server, she told us “sometimes that’s just how it is since it’s difficult to control the heat of the meats.” ....... get a better chef on the tandoor! Only reason I would ever think about returning is the fact that she said she’d be give me a voucher for 25% off my next meal. She also brought a complimentary rice pudding dessert which I didn’t care for, but it was a nice gesture. 2 stars, only because of the attempt to fix the issue, otherwise, 1. If you’re looking for an amazing Indian restaurant, I recommend The MasalaWala in the east village instead. No compromising necessary.

Everything was good to very good. The broad menu, the food itself, the portions, prices, place, service, and the 9th Ave 40s-50s foodie heaven district location. Part of that is a given: if you're not at least good, despite the draw that the area is for the hungry on a moderate Manhattan restaurant budget, you're just not going to make it there.And I expect Bombay Grill House will be there for quite some time. Four stars instead of five only because, nothing was quite among the best of its kind I've ever had - but remember I only had one meal for one person. So only a tiny sample of the menu, and I stand ready to be further impressed.If I return, I'll try to update this. Meantime a recommended choice for Indian in that district. Also has a bit of Nepalese character, which made for some interesting presentations and flavors.

A gem here in Hell’s Kitchen. Small, comfortable, and not to loud. Good place to go to go if you want to able to have a conversation. The staff is humble yet the pride they take in what they’re serving shows. The food is delicious and as good as any of those spots if not better than East Village.

For the first time I have seen waiters taking good care of customers in Indian restaurants. Food was exquisite. If u are really looking for authentic Indian food, this is the best place to pay a visit. Good job team!

Had a craving for Indian and randomly stumbled on this beautiful place. Awesome value lunch menu with any choice of curry, naan and rice. They also served some delicious Indian crisps and sauces. Excellent value for money for absolutely delicious food! Highly recommend!

My no,1 favorite Indian restaurant in midtown! I usually order delivery but also the place is very good cozy and super clean! Every servers are super friendly. I tried couples kind of curry and I never disappointed for every meals.I really recommend this place!

The mango lassi is amazing, give one a try when you go here. The staff are very friendly and professional.
