Bob's Clam Hut Portland

I have been here a few times. Excellent food, and the service is so unbelievably good. Found a hair in the fried clams, quietly said something to one of the girls who asked us if everything was ok. Didn't want to make a big deal out of it. She called the manager over who gave us our money back and also got us something else and gave us two free dinners for the future. Excellent food and service....Thank youLillian's clams are better than Bobs!

We have to stop here when we arrive in Maine & as we leave! If we are staying in the area we visit each day for est in or takeout. Consistently excellent over MANY YEARS!! They nevet compromise on fresh seafood,or any food and are friendly even on the busiest of days!! Clean inside & out. I went here with my grandparents and take my grandchildren. I have their orange punch card in my wallet! Get in here!!

My co favorite place to get lobster rolls. It's so good. It's perfect. The clam cakes are great too. I think I'm gonna try the fried scallops when I go next. I love this place

I stop here pretty much every time I'm driving into or out of Maine (even though it's a total mob scene in the summer), and have been since I was a tiny little baby. Everything about Bob's is great, but the weird thing that sets it apart is the tartar sauce. What on earth do they put in it! Why is it so good! I have to resist the urge to eat it with a spoon every time. They sell it in bulk, so stock up on your way through, folks, and you'll be the star of whatever fish fry you end up at.Also, the photo ops can't be beat.

Stopped by for lunch we co-workers. Place was packed, but an employee was directing traffic in the parking lot, which was very helpful. Plenty of outdoor sitting was available. 3 lines facilitated quick ordering and meal pickup. I had a Lobster roll and fried big belly clams. Coworker had the seafood chowder. Best Lobster roll I've ever had. Prices were high, but the service and food were outstanding.

Perfectly fried calamari, awesome spicy tartar sauce. Chowders were great.We had clams for dinner at Browns at Hampton the night before... had we known that we would be at Bob's...we would have waited!!! Can't wait to go back! ( maybe later today for ice cream!)

P.S. After we finished the lobster rolls, then we realized this place specializes in fried clams, so we ordered one whole clams, and it was really delicious! A must have!Delicious, sweet lobster roll, fresh tasting! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Service was really fast even with the long lines. Clam chowder was good, not as much cream, lighter broth! Lots of other choices too!

The food here is decent, not the best. Lines are long and it is set up like an ice cream stand where you order at windows. Crowds do build up fast. I would say I like the atmosphere and the people in general. There is plenty of room to sit and eat, indoor and outdoor, or you can take it to go. I do feel like it's not really a homemade taste. More like a fast food place but for seafood.

Favorite spot for over 35 years when visiting the area. Get the crab roll. Freshest and most delicious option that's 100 percent real crab! No Fuller's or Mayo.

I highly recommend the lobster rolls - lots of lobster meat. Great and friendly staff. Very casual atmosphere. Fun place.

Food was excellent. Service was very friendly, grounds and all eating areas were clean and well serviced. Napkins, salt and pepper shakers and condiments were well stocked. Prices were reasonable for the time of season and location (tourist area), but well the lines and pricing. I would eat there again as always.

Totally tasty and plump clams and a very good fish sandwich. Fries were very crispy! Be sure to check out the custom sauces to go with. Food comes out quick. Inflated tourist pricing. $25 for a clam basket and $15 for a "fish" sandwich.

This is my go to place when we are in the neighborhood ...everyone loves their fish...great selection...everyone is friendly...a little more expensive but definitely worth it!

This is an absolutely fantastic place. Great great food, and even better/friendlier staff. The environment is great.Homemade tartar sauce is excellent!We brought our dogs, and they came to ensure that they had water (brought us a dog bowl with water) and treats.This is seriously one of my favorite places to come when we're up with Kittery!!!!

Enjoyed a clam basket at Bob's at their indoor seating area. Service was prompt and quick with attentive wait staff. They pride their clams as hand picked for uniform size and that helps with the cooking process. The product was delicious and fried to a light golden level. I also ordered a cup of clam chowder. It was good but I prefer a thicker consistency. I may have been given the fish stew by mistake but since chowder can range from brothy to thick, you may want to ask before you order. Cole slaw was tasty and fries were good. Not too many places are good enough to stay open year round. Bob's is the exception.
