Bobby's South Bay Italian

Have eaten there many times pizza is fabulous. Don't know what happened maybe a new chef but Friday I went I waited over an hr for a pizza etc ended up being free as it took so long. Monday popped in only 2 people at the bar. Waited 40 minutes for angel hair paste (cappellini con pomodori freschi) and just like Friday the garlic bread they gave me was burned again. The dish was absolutely swimming in some sort of juice and it was bloody awful ended up having cheerios for dinner.

I'm a big foodie. I like hearty Italian food and generally like the heavy stuff. But I literally cry when I eat their spaghetti w/ marinara sauce + extra sauce (no meat, trust me it's better this way). It's pretty embarrassing. Reminds me of when I was a kid. We had an Italian neighbor when I was young that made the best spaghetti on earth from scratch. Soo good. Bobby's hits the nail on the head. I had to explain to the kids that daddy was crying tears of joy. They get it now. We eat here at least twice a month. My favorite Italian restaurant - all time.Oh and you can mix in a little Alfredo with the marinara for a change up, very good also.

My wife and I moved here from New Jersey two years ago and have had hard time finding really authentic Italian cuisine since we've been here. Well Bobby's took care of that; this place is absolutely amazing. Nice size portions, reasonably priced, and the people are super friendly. We love the Penne ala vodka, veal sorrentino, and the Tira Misu is absolutely fantastic. My wife vouches for the arugula salad but I always get the Calimari or 12" pie as an appetizer (leftover cold pizza as a late night snack anyone??). The pizza is also the closest to New York quality I've found since we've been out here. Between the pizza and the cuisine we've finally found our place to get our Italian fix. They also have a nice selection of beers on tap as well. Awesome place.
