The food was fine, over priced. Hailey provided excellent service.

Bad food, dirty kitchen , painfully slow service, and if that’s not enough - no returns on mediocre food at its best..

Utterly mediocre food. Service is terrible. And extremely expensive.

Just went for coffee on the patio. Very nice coffee and excellent service. Didn't try the food mainly because the reviews are all so bad.

The food is a joke. The view is literally the only redeeming quality. Unbelievably slow service. Oh and did I mention the food...I don't believe the kitchen understands what an omelette is - overcooked egg with 100% raw mushrooms, peppers, ham etc. As if they'd forgotten it was an omelette was until the last moment. Upon requesting they give it another try, this time cooking the inside, take 2 was just as raw.

The salad dressings are great. Food a fresh and tasty. The dessert was disappointed it was okay and too pricey for it quality

The service was great and attentive, though we were the only ones in the restaurant. Lunch was delicious and we could have had two desserts, they were that good. However, overall it was overpriced and limited with vegetarian options. The cost of the breakfast buffet also deterred us from going back a second time.

Good menu, good flavouring on everything except for the pork wings, but poor execution. Chicken was dry, medium well steak was over cooked on the outside making it tough, Arctic char was good, calamari ok, pork wings had hints of freezer taste, and iced wine tiramisu was blanketed in too much cocoa. Great atmosphere and view over Lake Muskoka. Overpriced considering the poor execution.

Service was painfully slow. We waited 10 minutes before anyone even came to our table. I wanted to walk out. Nothing was organized. We had no napkins, cutlery or glasses. Only 2 other tables were in use so no excuse. Errors on bill and overpriced for the experience. Would not return.

Staying at Taboo, the resort where Boathouse Grill is located. Great resort, shite restaurant. What a joke that they charge what they do for the food. Squid was way undercooked. Medium rare steaks were grey. Service was atrocious; waitress was 19 years old and had clearly never even tried the food. She was perfectly incompetent with any questions and her service capacity was negligible. Took FOREVER for the food to come out. Never took the menus away. Never cleared the plates of eaten dishes. Didn't bring appropriate cutlery. Didn't ask us if we wanted more drinks when our glasses were empty. Didn't ask for our dessert interests. When eating $30 entrés, this amateur level of service is totally unacceptable, even when a captive audience at a resort staffed by teenagers. What an embarrassment. Great view though and the rest of the resort is quite nice.

Disregard any poor reviews - the Chef has changed and reinvented this place. All fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. Almost everything made in house including fresh pastas. This is the best spot on Lake Muskoka and by far in the Gravenhurst area.

The food and service at The Boathouse has really improved with the new menu and staff. Quality of food is much better, service has improved, and the menu has a better variety than it's had before. Would give it a try!
