The hotel staff were amazing and super sweet I think the only complaints would be it would be great if the TVs worked in the rooms and the beds weren’t so uncomfortable and maybe some AC and bathroom doors that lock considering they’re for public useCould have paid half the price for my stay at a cheap motel and still gotten better accommodations 🤷ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸

The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Cheap place for the night and the newly renovated room was cozy. Also includes parking which is great for Whyte Ave

Amazing experience. The place was not too busy but the live band was great. My first time being here and I loved the vibe.Negative: The only negative is that you need CASH. You can get cash from the ATM machine inside but charges you $3 extra per transaction. So, if you don't mind that charge or you carry cash, this place is worth checking out.Special mention: Wings Wednesday was really good and super cheap. They get the wings from place next door but they are good. Only four flavours though.

Great venue for live music! The bar has recently been renovated and looks alot better than before. There is an ample dance floor and tables if you prefer to be seated. Free coat check!

I frequent Blues on Whyte to listen to great live music and just soak in the awesome atmosphere. The bouncer at the door is always courteous and professional. The overall vibe in the establishment is best described as 'pure'. People from all walks of life are there to have a good time, whatever that looks like to them, and it makes for an awesome spot to relax with a drink and enjoy other humans being...happy. I dare you not to be happy after visiting this Gem of a Pub.

I haven't been there in years, but a number of years ago it was a unique blues bar, with good music and eclectic audience :) Lots of fun!

I've been a regular here at the Saturday Jam for about 20 years. I feel right at home, safe and comfortable. I'm not a huge drinker, but $3.75 for a pint of cold Lucky is alright by me!!! I have been privy to seeing many famous musicians here..some new and some well known. The part that makes The Commie so great is it's always warm and welcoming. The owner remembers your name, the band recognizes your face and comes to chat with you. In between sets they have a DJ now which is a fantastic idea. Since the new GM took over we've seen new genres emerge and drawing a younger clientele. Many many fond memories here.If Edmonton is a pit stop this is a must see for great blues music!

The same old guy is there. He is still dancing by himself like he was 30 years ago. He still admires women and their boyfriends still allow him to talk to their girlfriends.
