Wonderful as always

Remarkable! Delicious, authentic Thai with a cozy atmosphere. The entire operation is run by a very nice gentleman who is a gracious host and an exquisite chef. Almost felt like having dinner in someone's home.This place is cash/check only, so don't bring your plastic.Pictured: the Pad Kee Mao; always a go-to when I try a new Thai place. I'm a spicy food junkie and ordered the medium spice so I could share. That was plenty hot, too! Great balance of flavors.Will absolutely return here.

Fresh made to order food Elegant atmosphere

Some of the best food in Murrells Inlet. We love this place, it authentic and each dish is full of fresh ingredients. I personally love the crispy duck #27 dish on the menu. Be patient when you go there as it is a small eatery but the owner does all the cooking and sometimes attends to the tables. It is more than worth the wait to dine in this quaint eatery. So get a bottle of wine, start a conversation with your company and enjoy the culinary experience. Highly Recommend the Blue Elephant if you are looking for great Thai food. PS dont go crazy on the spice scale as everything is available from 1 to 4 peppers. Two peppers is a perfect heat and 4 must just be for the fire eater. Love this place!

Very delicious vegan entrees and everything was freshly cooked to order. My yellow curry was full of hand-cut vegetables and served with a bowl of sticky white rice. The meal was served on decorative china that may have come from Thailand. Just beautiful. Lastly, the owner was happy to accommodate any requests and made sure that we were served a delicious meal. The only downside was that Blue Elephant does not honor charge cards. Cash only in this day and age can be problematic.

Best authentic Thai in the state. Expect long wait times for food but its worth the wait.. No credit cards or debit.

Always the best Thai food. We have enjoyed Dr. Paul's restaurant and food for 20 yrs. Quaint and comfortable atmosphere.

The food is a solid five. The service is a little slow. Definitely a good place to order dishes for the table to pass around. The decor and dishes are absolutely beautiful.

I have loved The Blue Elephant for more than a decade. The owner/chef consistently delivers some of the best Thai cuisine anywhere in the U.S. as far as I’m concerned. He makes all of his own curry powders and freshness is always key. My favorites are the Green Curry and the Crispy Fish. Love, love, love his foods and preparation. You cannot go wrong at this wonderful local restaurant. Did I mention the beautiful China made especially for the Blue Elephant and imported by Dr. Peter, himself? Gorgeous!

I have been there 3 times, the food if very good and the atmosphere is great. They take only cash or checks so be prepated. Last time had a salmon special which was wonderful

Dr Paul knows how to cook authentic Thai! He prepares the dishes his self so the wait is well worth it! I recommend this place to anyone for good Thailand food! Don't forget get to say hi to Joey the Blue Elephant outside this quaint restaurant

Forget how the outside looks...wait until you see the white linen on the tables and the hand painted plates from Thailand. The food is even better and prepared fresh for every order. Might take a little time but boy is it worth it...fantastic!!! Remember to make reservations and it is only cash or check. If you live in the area and have not been ... make sure to go soon
