Blue Jacket Grille

Found this casual spot just off Colonial Dr around the Baldwin Park area today. So glad we stopped!! The food is just like I would imagine I would make if I opened my own restaurant, great quality ingredients and most things seemed to be homemade. They aren't trying to reinvent the wheel here, just making great food. The hot wing sauce could become a new obsession; it has an unique flavor and is finger licking good. The blue cheese was obviously housemade with nice big and little chunks. One of us had the bacon burger which was nice and big and tall, she said it was "her new favorite burger, right up there with Teak Restaurant". Another had the cheesesteak which was juicy with high quality beef and provolone cheese, in a word...wonderful. I saw many, many beers on tap and a full bar. Oh and I almost forgot, the onion rings were perfect....did not need any condiments. Thanks for a great lunch, we will all be back soon. FYI, I posted the same review on Trip Advisor also.

Service was excellent! Nice atmosphere and plenty of tv's to catch a sporting event. The owners and staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. Definitely going to be going back here. ;-) Updated from new visit Feb 2019 Went back few weeks ago and the food and service was not so good. Apparently its under new ownership. I ordered a hamburger and fries. The fries came out brown like cooked in old oil. They were disgusting. The burger was ok. Was 5 stars now only 2

First time eating there. I had a Blue Moon with an orange and Blue Shroom Burger. Burger was a little over medium which is what I requested but still good and juicy. Glad they served my Blue Moon with an Orange, as it should be. Staff was friendly. Manager came over to check on guests. I liked the decor. It was comfortable and low key. It would be nice to have cushions on the bench seats. I can't see myself sitting and drinking for too long on the hard bench. Outside seating on high-tops are nice. I'll definitely return and try more of the menu.

The food was good and service, too. They had new cooks and there was some confusion along with a long wait for food. Our group of 13 overwhelmed, I guess. Still, we will go back.

Quiet little local place, great beer list with lots on tap. Every time I've been in has been excellent.

Bar food classics, but extremely well-executed with obvious love. Portions are beyond generous, and well presented. The service was genuinely friendly, and the owner/chef (I think) came around a couple to see how we liked everything, and to tell us about their monthly trivia night, which I look forward to checking out (it's a themed trivia night - April's theme is Disney).. He's got a real passion and is justifiably proud of this warm, well-run neighborhood hangout.

We had a good time here. Nice, newly remodeled space playing on the area's history with plenty of reasonably priced beers on draft. Decent enough happy hour. Some things on the menu you don't see often enough like poutine and cheese curds too. Good selection of burgers and there's wings as well. Soup of the day was this spectacular tequila chicken soup; something like tortilla soup and corn chowder. Nice.Burger was good. Lots of tots, they really load you up.Super friendly staff. Refreshing change of pace from the usual commercial options. Small lot but there's street parking behind. Enjoyable.

The food is good, but it takes forever to get it.

Free drinks until midnight and karaoke on Thursday and Saturday nights. Great atmosphere and a lot of fun. I cannot wait to go back there again

Both the food and service was great. I had a beer cheese burger and some cheese curds.

Just heard of this place and I can walk there so I tried it out. Very cool spot and the history of the name makes it even better. Met Anderson and he said they will be revamping a few things to make it better and if so I will be there all the time. Great atmosphere, great people and cold beer. DONE DEAL!

This place is awesome! I have eaten here multiple times and never disappointed. The server (Paige) was excellent and super friendly. The food was cooked perfectly. We had the three tacos (beef) as well as grilled chicken sandwich. Did I mention the tater tots are to die for??? And they open at 730am on weekends for breakfast!
