Blue Dolphin Restaurant

Melissa and her husband do such a great job. They are kind, funny, efficient. They are our favorite. I recommend coming here for breakfast during the week. I recommend literally any food here but my favorite is their homemade veggie burgers and spicy bloody Marys with homemade pickled asparagus.

Do not judge a book by it's cover! We were apprehensive about the Blue Dolphin, but we trusted the reviews. Excellent Greek food, kind and attentive service paired with an exciting atmosphere (wait til they light something in fire!). Be patient and reserve time, it takes a while for the food to make it to your table... And it is well worth the wait.

Awsome friendly helpful staff with amazing breakfast!

For a while after moving to Kalamazoo I thought this place was a stripclub, or something similar. The outside makes the place look slightly shady. But, it's actually a good, little restaurant. It was clean inside and much cheerier than the outside. The service was good and the food tasty. The prices were good.

Excellent food and fast service!

Delicious food, great drinks, and friendly staff...what more could you ask for? Well how about a newly remodeled building, weekly specials that are too good to pass up, and you'll always be in good hands as the restaurant is a favorite hangout of the staff of Bronson hospital whose campus is right across the street. Open at 7am with a full menu and bar, liquor service hours depend on the day of the week, this place is a godsend for anyone working third shift in the Kalamazoo area.

Great menu and the staff are so welcoming. They make you feel appreciated and important. We are regulars for sunday morning breakfast and they always accommodate our large group. Food is delicious and quick.

Love this place! They do 3rd shift breakfast specials that start at 7am for 3rd shift workers! Ask for the text notification when you go! It's awesome! Lora is an amazing waitress and makes great drinks!!

The staff was very attentive, friendly, helpful. Their portions are large enough to satisfy any appetite and prices are VERY reasonable. My friends had corned beef and cabbage, I had cabbage soup with sausage. All delicious and served with a soft roll and sweetened butter.

We have lived I Kalamazoo for three years now and this was our first time visiting the blue dolphin. We had no idea there was also a show at the State theatre tonight. Needless to say the Blue Dolphin was insanely crowded but the staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in the door. They were all so nice to us the hospitality was above and beyond anything we have ever experienced even on a crazy busy night. The food was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend this place. Our experience was wonderful. They are all family that work there. We went to Greece a few years ago if you truly want to experience Greece definitely try the Blue Dolphin this is truly a hidden gem in downtown Kalamazoo! Bonus they have a huge parking lot downtown so you don’t need to worry about parking which can be an issue downtown

Not a great place to eat! You better ask for a gallon of water to rehydrate your dinner. The pork chop, lamb, and prime rib experienced a second death during the cooking process. The dolphin flipped some sand in the salad dressing. The only positive was the baked potato wasn’t over done.

Service at the beginning was a bit slower than I like, but once they got there they were top notch.

I have paid tribute to the wonderful taste of Blue Dolphin cusine for more than 20 years, but the past two years I have found the food and service sub-par, and I have to go to Detroit to get my childhood memories back for yummy Greek food. One server in particular has dissappointed me time and time again, by not being friendly, gave me poor service more than once, and leftover unfresh food, although I tip more than expected. The hours I went 3-4pm, hardly any customers there, sometimes the owners son would be there, on those days my food was better. My last visit the bread was not fresh, and my Dolmades made me ill for days. They offered me free food, although they questioned if I really got sick from their food, well I never went back to "cash-in" on the offer, because I feel unliked by the server, and it does not have all the great flavors I am used to. The place needs a makeover all the way around, menu, staff, and surroundings. Papa Pete where are you? Miss the good old days.

I love blue dolphin! Always great service and food! One of my favorite places in Kalamazoo, just wish they had outdoor seating.
