Was disappointed by the food here. It wasn't bad but was fairly bland and average compared with the food I had at holes-in-the-wall in Reunion

Fantastic restaurant, incredibly nice owners. Everything on the menu is great, and it is ridiculously inexpensive.

We moved into the area in November and have been trying out a variety of restaurants in the Junction and Roncesvalle -- the elusive Blue Bay Cafe (only open 2 nights a week) we could never seem to get to. Until last night! Where else can you find Mauritian food in Toronto?? No where! The interior is quite quaint and probably hasn't changed since the restaurant opened, but that's entirely irrelevant. All 4 of us $%ing loved everything we ordered. Apps: Chicken cutlet and the okra. Wonderful. Mains: curried octopus, the duck, 2 fish dishes (I can't remember what they were called) both spicy but everything delish. We basically treated our mains like a buffet and ate off each others plates. I wish it wasn't so quiet when we went because this place deserves some attention! Fantastic dinner, inexpensive, lovely host ! Happy to walk back next weekend :)

Only Friday and Satureday from 5pm~10pm. Deserve to wait that day. Curry Octupus, ginger fish, palm heart & okra salad are all great. There are small rices for each meal.

Dishes are unique (Mauritius). Curry octopus was very tasty. Service was friendly.
