Both times I have been the food was great. Imo the fillet was better than the Guinness burger. The Guinness burger did not have any of the normal toppings: lettuce, pickles, tomato's, etc. It just felt incomplete to me, though it was still good. The two times I visited could not be more different in terms of service. The first visit was on a Sunday and it was empty. We sat at the bar and had a good time talking to the bartender. The second visit was a Wednesday and it was packed. I sat at a table because the bar was full and there was only one bartender taking care of the whole restaurant. Overall still a 4 because the atmosphere was good and the food was better. I'll only plan on visiting if it's not that busy though.

Went on burger night to check the place out. Service was great, but the burgers were dry as a puck and atmosphere was just a such a mishmash of decor I wasn't sure what was going on. Maybe it was the lack of ambiance or music, but the place just seemed unwelcoming to us.

Based on the price, for happy hour was one of the best burgers in the city... For $10! Smoked fries (who does that?). Friendly staff and good service. Highly recommend.

I said I'd never ever eat a fish taco. Only Ted can pull it off. This is my regular spot on Wednesdays.

Super loud. Not sure the fix but wasn't due to anything they could control. Cramming 35 people in your living room will be loud. Food... Not sure... Couldn't hear it.

1st time going as someone had given me a giftcard. Made it in time for happy hour but I haven't had a drink since new years...the wife had a beer and a glass of wine which i think where $2 off each. I dont think they had any beer or club soda on tap. We had the Tokyo Tuna and chocolate mac n cheese for apps both yummy. Had the killer fry, seafood stew and a poke bowl for meal. Dont ask why I ordered the poke bowl as it was underwhelming. The other 2 are good. Then we got a doughnut to go for my daughter. The bar tender I think her name her name was Kelsey? was really friendly. If I was to go back it would be for a burger and a beer.

I brought an out of town friend here the first weekend it opened and it was quite disappointing- and kinda of embarrassing as I had hyped it up lol... The ambiance was very lackluster and kind of harsh in relation to the soft/quaint ambiance of Jacks....we ordered the Brie as an appetizer and it would have been the same if I just got a cold brie wheel from Harris Teeter and threw it on a plate (could have warmed it up a tad) The mussels were ok, nothing special...but I added the fries for $4 and literally had 10 fries thrown on top of my dish..hmm...I LOVED Jacks, so I would give it another chance in hopes it has worked out its kinks.

As the second incarnation of Jack's Bistro of Canton fame, Blair's on Hudson continues the tradition of delicious and eclectic dishes that should be rated upon some of the best in the City. The chef's ability to fuse the flavors of Southeast Asia, North Africa and other regions of the world into comfort food with an innovative American taste continues to astound. Likewise, Blair's continues to fill the role of a neighborhood restaurant and bar with a very local feel to it with the same old peanut butter and jelly shots. While the new setting currently doesn't quite have the homey feel of their last venue, I am sure some added decoration and warmth will be added in the years to come. Reservations are strongly recommended.
