Blackfinn Ameripub - River North

Good American fare at a reasonable price for River North. Lunch was tasty. Not sure about the dinner scene here.

Great Selection, they often have hard to find beers like Gumballhead. I have not eaten there often, but what I've had was very good. Also, it is cheap compared to other places in the area, especially if you buy a growler.

Bartenders were not attentive but you can choose from a very large selection of craft beer for $3.25-$4.00 for 9 ounce pours. Good deal.

Huge new American pub style restaurant in River North with lots of seating, big booths and an even bigger bar! Blackfinn is a chain and kind if feels like one, but the menu is chock full o' choices with lots of salads (I had the ranch chicken which had a zesty dressing), flatbreads, sandwiches burgers and pastas. Best of all, they offer half priced wine on Wednesdays (by the glass and bottle!) and have a beer and burger special for Thursday, plus weekday lunch combos - - many of which are under $10.

It is an okay bar. Very standard. Music is a little bit too loud. Good to hang out with friends.

Stopped in for drinks but it was a good experience. Bar staff took care of us in short order and we had great conversation. Menu looked interesting so that'll be the next visit.

Great atmosphere, I couldn't stay long because I had a flight to catch but I will definitely be going back

We wandered in without any preconceived notions and were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Within minutes of ordering, my wife's cocktail arrived at our table and the food was not far behind. It was hot, fresh, and tasty. I was a bit sad they were out of the bacon wrapped meatloaf for the evening getting since it was only 630 but I ordered the Queen City Chicken which was very good. They only had angry orchard as their hard cider but if you are looking for beer it looks like they have dozens on tap.

While they have a great selection of beers (over 30 on tap) and is a great spot to catch sports games it has more of a TGIFriday's atmosphere. The staff is alright, but I wouldn't necessarily say they are completely knowledgeable. Blackfinn does have amazing food though! They have your traditional pub fare mixed in with more elevated dishes as well. Some things to try: tuna poke, buffalo chicken flatbread, mac and cheese with pulled pork, and the Blackfinn hot chocolate. This place is close to my job about 3 minute walk. I was a little disappointed because the menu decreased and they got rid of sweet potato fries but they still have mashed sweet potatoes. 🖒😆❤ The host is always nice as well as server and they dont forget about u. Lol. The food is excellent everytime I've come here.

We had an alumni get together here with a party of almost 30 people. The server was new but she had help of a more experienced server. Overall, the prices are fair and the service was good.

The food is good and they have gluten free options which is always a plus. They also ran a promo during the pokemon-go craze which was a fun little addition.

My burger was EXCELLENT. However, I came on a busy Sunday night and they were woefully understaffed, yet very packed with customers. I'll give it one more try.
