SERVICE IS WONDERFUL❤LOVE ALL THEIR FOOD CHOICES. BUT FOR ME THE SALMON PLATE IS THE BEST!

Great seating and great service. The pancakes are hugh and tasty. The bacon is delicious in fact everything we ate was and they are large portions. The orange juice is fresh squeezed. Come early cause they fill up fast.

Mama Bear Janette is the best customer service person I’ve ever meet. I wish I could hire her myself. Food is good too haha.

If you love Cracker Barrel you'll live Black Bear. Delicious comfort food -used to go to the one in Colorado when the freezing cold got to be too much.Hearty, delicious comfort food in big portions so come hungry and don't expect refined dining. This is down home delicious food like biscuits and gravy.

I went for the first time and it was a great experience. The staff is great and so are the regular customers. Definitely felt very welcome. And the food portions are huge. I loved the freshly squeezed orange juice

Food is yummy and huge portions-- they tend to get pretty busy so you don't always get much attention after you get your food. Clearly this hasn't stopped me from going as I've been here a few times, so don't be discouraged based on my review.

Not satisfied with my waitress. Got seated and waited for someone/anyone to acknowledge me and my wife. After about 5min of patiently waiting I had to ask a waitress passing by. Not a great first time experience. Fortunately, the available waitress was kind, pleasant and very helpful. Food was abundant and above all delicious. Staff does seem overwhelmed.

Mama bear Jeanette is always so pleasant to see when we first walk in, she always makes us feel so welcomed and happy. Every time we’ve been there no matter who the server was they always gave us such wonderful service. The food is so delicious.

Good place for comfort food. Portions are large enough for leftovers or a belly ache if you clear your plate.😂 Make sure you get cornbread, best I have ever had.

Really good service and awesome food. Had to wait 45 min to get in but it was worth it.

I live between the Torrance & Signal Hill stores. I prefer Torrance because of the service I receive from the staff and especially from Jeanne (Mama Bear), and Carlos. The store is always busy, but the wait is never unbearably long

Black Bear Diner can get busy, especially on the weekends. If you don't mind waiting for 10-15 minutes, the wait is worth it. It's a great place to get pretty much any traditional fare you can think of. They have very good prices and you get a lot of food. I've never had it, but they have a HUGE burger that I've seen several people get. It's so big it nearly takes up the dinner plate it is served on. They have a cool way their menu is presented. It's on a "daily newspaper" that has local news on it, along with their daily menu. The service is friendly and very good. We have been many times and have not had any bad meals or service. I give four stars, only because of the wait. We started going because we always saw a lot of people waiting so we figured the wait must be worth it. It is!

Great traditional diner with HUGE portions! The employees here are SUPER NICE! (Exceptionally so!) The food here is very good. While it can get busy - especially on weekend mornings - once you've tried the food, you'll understand why!
