Overall the place was not bad but nothing impressive about it. The amuse bouche was flavorful. My app was a tartare with all kinds of extras that sounded great on the menu but couldnt make up for the lack of seasonning. The pork chop was a good pork chop. Thick, juicy and nicely cooked. I love parsnip puree even if a bit on the glue'ey side. Desserts were good. The only real downer was the creme brulee.. We had the crackling brulee part but where was the creme? The little I could find was scrambled... I did like the combination of white chocolate-orange peel-caramelized nut. Also, they had a sparkling water with lavender syrup. That was most refreshing. Loved it.

Tried the 5 course menu, amuse bouche was underwhelming, boudin itself was good but the rest of the plate did not fit, main was good. okay value for a byob

Excellent BYOW. Service was friendly enough - it was a little noisy but the food was amazing and made up for it. Get the table d'hôte for $55.My main dish, a very creamy risotto with scallops, was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The oysters were shockingly good too, so they clearly have a great seafood hookup. Overall, flavours and presentation were both spectacular. On the more mediocre side, the desserts were not amazing - the coconut in the crême brûlée was a bit distracting, and something in the basil sauce for the lemon tart tasted a little fishy, and the pastry was a bit dry. All that said though, L&P is highly recommended - slightly pretentious food in a very unpretentious atmosphere. 5/5.
