Bistecca Fiorentina

Had such a great meal and experience here a few months ago while in town visiting. Coming again next week and saw "closed" when trying to make a reservation on open table. Please tell me this is not true!!

We took our family (12 people in all) to Bistecca Fiorentina and had an impeccable meal. The service was fantastic and the food was awesome! We ordered the Bistecca steak! It was cooked perfectly! George is the best!

This is a cool place on restaurant row. I love the steak, wine list, and they always have great specials. whether dressed up or down this is a really good value a few blocks off Times Square. Great service. Plenty of night life right on the same street.I felt like I need to update this posting. I have been back several times both business and pleasure. I like it for business as an alternative to the "standard" steak houses. So much more variety and same quality service.

amazing place with great food, very reasonable prices especially for the theater/ time square area. Our food came out and smelled so good a group who just finished actually said out loud " OMG, IT smells so good I want to eat again". The steaks tasted as good as they smelled and the pasta was perfectly cooked, and was hand made and seemed relatively fresh also. The wait staff were courteous and friendly and it provided a nice atmosphere.

Showed up without reservations on Thursday night, got seated immediately since the show crowd had pretty much cleared out. Bottled wine selection was very good, but the wine selected by the glass was limited. The house specialty steak was absolutely fantastic and cooked perfectly (39oz was perfect for 2, even though menu says its for 1).I do not like when waiter staff hovers, and they had that tendency.Food is GREAT I highly recommend it!

My husband ordered a rare steak. It came out medium, no big deal we are very use to this. The waiter was very professional quickly took the steak to the back and another was out promptly. However, I guess the cook took offense to this because the steak they brought out was a scrap cut and came out in pieces strung together by fat. Wish I would have taken a before picture. But this is what was left and I understand some fat is a good thing it gives it flavor he ate a lot. My husband and I believe this was done as a "I'm not going to waist anymore money on you" mentality. Very sad to see in a "professional" NYC restaurant.

The overall experience was so so. 1) the food was ok. A little on the tough side2) the wait staff was slow3)the waiter spoke in a very condescending toneWould not recommend a visit. With so many amazing choices in NYC you should not have to make this experience and should deserve proper service
