Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack

The most unique restaurant in Tallahassee. Bird's offers the best grouper sandwich in Tallahassee or surrounding area. Also, the hamburger can not be matched anywhere! Go hungry. Very ample servings. Just a fun, very good place to eat, plus live entertainment on weekends.

As usual, the oysters were tremendous. Great food and service. We love this place.

Try the burger, it's the best in town, and they'll put any of the seasonings or toppings on the fries as easily as the other food. My favorite are jalapeno and cheddar! I'm also not an oyster eater, but am reliably told they are fantastic.

Atmosphere, Atmosphere, Atmosphere. That's what strikes me when coming to Bird's.Oysters - Burgers - Chicken - Grouper - (and Veggie Burgers). That's the foundation of the menu. From there, you can "plug & play" all sorts of combinations (spices, dressings, sides, etc...).When the weather permits, I'm big on the outdoor seating - largely because it has that rural feel virtually in the most urban concentration of TLH - so, I like the duality. That said, there's really nothing compelling about the outdoor decor. On the contrary, it's quite bland. So, if interesting wall hangings are more your thing - then you certainly belong indoors.I've never been for the entertaining and culturally rich evening events - but I'd like to. For lunch, it's conveniently downtown AND the burgers are fantastic.

It is a shack, but otherwise good food, good service, good times

Its been 7 years and I was so pleased to visit this place and find that nothing has changed. That's so awesome. Amateur comedy, tasty oysters, and truly legendary burgers especially when you account the price.

Really good oysters and grouper sandwiches await. Keep in mind, the menu is very limited to grouper sammy's, burgers and oysters. The oysters are super fresh. If you like grouper, Bird's has an excellent sandwich, one of the best I have had. The filet is thick and cooked to perfection with a seasoning of choice. It is a messy sandwich in all respect. This makes it better. Great service and friendly staff serves up great grub and cold beer.

Excellent oystersWe had a delicious lunch at this low key bar. The oysters were just terrific - we had them raw and they were plump, fresh and juicy. We loved our grouper sandwich with a large perfectly grilled moist grouper fillet! It was quite reasonably priced too.

Our agency catered a meal from here, and I had a basic hamburger. Phenomenal quality for such a simple meal. I cannot wait to visit this place in my downtime and see what else they have on their menu.

Wonderful little dive spot with amazing food. Love getting the bucket of oysters with some friends.

One of, if not THE best burger in town, and you build it yourself. A local favorite. Wonderful staff and amazing food. Only complaint is very limited parking and lunch really slows down service. Go early. Beat the crowd!

Loved their burgers here! One of the best burgers in town. Only con was that my Fiancé and I had to go to the bar to order our food and get refills. They didn't have table service the day we went. There wasn't any event going on that we were aware of.

Haven't found a better burger in town. Only 4 stars because hours are inconsistent.

Drove by. Wanted to check it out. It was worth every buck. Burgers great. Oysters great. The atmosphere is great and great service. So I had a great time.

Hands down the best burger in town.My favorite burger creation is a 10oz pattie, blackened with blue cheese and swiss cheese with jalapenos and bacon.
