Hadn't been to Big Jim's in quite a while. Shouldn't have waited. The pastrami/corned beef combo on marble and the club sandwich on wheat were excellent...so big. We didn't know that Jim's changed hands two years ago. I hate to say this but it made a difference. The booth seating is new. You no longer feel like you are sitting way lower than the table and the outside seating looks very inviting. We will return sooner than later.

Great bar food and specials. Lots of TVs. Friendly staff. Lots of space.

One of my favorite places for great food and service😳

Beef on Weck sandwiches are native to my hometown area (upstate New York). Jim's is the best and closest place to me to have one. Restaurant is good-sized and informal but can be crowded.

So, if you are expecting a more traditional version of a steakhouse (dark panels, table side Caesar salad etc.), this isn’t it. I would best describe it as comparable to a large diner, with laminate tabletops and brighter lighting. The food was good: we had the prime rib special. Very tender and flavorful. ($22). Service was good - very friendly and accommodating. Waitress checked on us often and did ask how everything was. Our only complaint was that the meat was “coolâ€, as was the plate it was on. Fries were hot and crispy. We didn’t send it back, though. The waitress explained that if the meat was hotter, it would be overcooked. Fair enough. That said, plates being hot to start with would solve that issue. That should be a “no brainerâ€. A good selection of craft beers on tap.

Big Jim's is all about comfort food: cheeseburgers, wings, mac & cheese, etc. It all tastes good, but if you're watching your diet, you'll get to watch it go out the window! Actually, there ARE diet-conscious choices (grilled chicken vs fried, turkey burgers, salads, etc.), but you have to be on the lookout for them. We tried the onion soup, a grilled-chicken wrap, a tuna melt and sweet-potato fries: nothing disappointed. Service was so-so: we had to ask for such things as napkins more than once, and drinks were a bit slow. There are multiple TV's on every wall, so it's clearly a sports bar ... with the commensurate noise volume. If you're looking for decent down-home food, Big Jim's will do just fine.

This was a hard 4 stars possibly 5 but I had to go with 4. The food is great the steak sub is very good. But what gets 5 stars is there soup. The lobster bisque was phenomenal! Had to be some of the best I ever had. It is a little pricey the staff was friendly but could be a little more attentive. Also the wait for take out was a little longer. But overall I recommend.

We love going to this place. The food is always delicious and consistent in its quality. I had Jalapeno Poppers to start, then for my meal I had a bowl of Lobster Bisque and a side Ceasar Salad. The wife had their Roast Beef Sandwich it looked very good and she said it was. To go with my meal I had a tasty Mangrove DIPA from their large Craft Beer selection.

First I had the lobster bisque with the biggest chunk of lobster in it! Thank you for that! It's my favorite. Then my ceasar salad was fresh lettuce topped with lovely slices of parmesan, now you're just spoiling me!Then on to the perfectly tender prime rib. So, this was my first visit, but it sure won't be my last! Although I ate inside, I could see people gathered around the firepit having cocktails. Is there anything you don't do just right?

The wings are great but that was it the Philly wasn't that great more bread than anything. Prime rib was ok the bake potato was cold with a huge chunk of butter that wasn't melted. Disappointed with the meal.

Not gonna lie, the spaghetti and meatball is pretty good. If you couldn't tell by my 4yr olds face, she loves it. Great staff, awesome service and a giant selection of beers on tap. Sports bar feeling with a family friendly environment.Update: they've since stopped serving red sauces. So no more spaghetti.. hopefully it makes a return.

They are either very busy or incredibly quiet. Menu is incredibly extensive, portions are huge and they work with genuine staff. If you eat there try the bread pudding as it is something to die for!
